@_CryMiaRiver is correct. I mark the first properly recorded childhood social contagion event as being the 'Children's Crusade' in 1212. Thousands of youngsters from France and Germany, whipped up mainly by two people (Stephen of Cloyes and Nicholas of Cologne), got it into their heads that they were going to retake Jerusalem from the Saracens. Most of the children died from cold and starvation trying to cross the Alps. The rest were sold into slavery, or just dropped out. Not a single child reached the Holy Land. Out of the 50,000 youngsters who initially set out from the Rhineland and Paris, only 2,000 made it back home. 814 years later and we have learned nothing. Gender doctors, therapists, social workers (and to my personal shame), psychologists, have become the modern Stephens and Nicholases. Like them, we have lead children into a dead end, only now the 'religion' is gender and the Holy Land is 'transition'. But it's not bloody 1212. We are not ignorant mediaeval peasants who still think the Earth is at the centre of the universe, and who are hundreds of years away from understanding even germ theory, much less the social sciences. This should not have happened. Clinicians should had done their jobs properly and stamped out the false ideation of children thinking they were 'trans'. Had they done so, this social contagion would not have taken hold. It would have been a footnote in history, instead of a generational disaster.

Well. There it is. We now live in a country where a Muslim man can punch a white female police officer in the face, break her nose, and face no consequence for it.
Where a Sikh man can carry a knife for “religious reasons”, use it to stab a young whit lad four times and when the officers arrive, they’ll arrest the white man because of false accusations of racism and then watch him choke to death in his own blood while he’s handcuffed.
A country where a security guard will notice a suspect at a pop concert but not approach him because he’s worried about being called racist and then the suspect will blow himself up and murder more than twenty kids and their mothers.
And all of this is a product of woke ideology and critical race theory and postcolonialism and the Marxist oppressed-oppressor binary that no one understands, and you can spend a year of your life writing a book to explain the mechanisms and the moral frameworks of it and no one will read it because no one gives a shit.

Two young Scandinavian women, Louisa Jespersen and Maren Ueland, traveled to Morocco believing in peace, openness, and that “Islamophobia” was the real problem.
They were raped, tortured, and beheaded by Muslim jihadists.

THEY FILMED IT. THEY LAUGHED. THEY WENT HOME.
Three boys gang-raped two schoolgirls in Hampshire. They filmed both attacks on their phones. One victim was marched to a field at knifepoint after being told to dump the AirTag her mum had given her. She was 14 years old.
Southampton Crown Court convicted all three in March. Judge Nicholas Rowland then told them "none of you need to go to prison today." They walked out with youth rehabilitation orders. The oldest got three years. The youngest, who was 13 at the time of the second rape, got 18 months.
The judge said there had been "no violence or exploitation" of the girls. One of them had a knife held to her throat. The other wrote a poem in court that included the line "all I want to do is die."
He also praised the boys for their conduct during the trial.
Hampshire PCC Donna Jones @DonnaJonesPCC called the sentences "far too lenient." Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp @CPhilpOfficial called it "a sickening case of soft justice." The victims' families may now seek to challenge the sentences through the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.
The girls described destroyed school attendance, nightmares, body shame, and grief for the people they used to be. The boys got community service and a curfew.
One of them had captioned a TikTok photo "Gangsters" a month after the first rape.

Dearlove Is Shocked. He Should Be. But He Is Looking At The Wrong People.
Sir Richard Dearlove, the former head of MI6, said yesterday he was shocked to learn that a senior Foreign Office civil servant had discussed Britain's nuclear deterrent in closed-door meetings with an organisation he describes as a front for China's main foreign spy agency. He called for parliamentary scrutiny of Stephen Lillie's meetings with the Grandview Institution during a four-day trip to Beijing last October.
Dearlove is right to be shocked. He is looking at the wrong level.
Lillie's meeting did not happen in isolation. It happened during what the Telegraph describes as a flurry of trips to Beijing by top British officials amid Starmer's deliberate thawing of relations with China. Sir Olly Robbins, subsequently sacked, lunched with Grandview experts the week before Lillie's visit. Jonathan Powell, now the Prime Minister's National Security Adviser, met Grandview before his appointment. Since becoming National Security Adviser in December 2024, Powell has met Wang Yi, the Politburo member directing Chinese foreign affairs, four times. His vetting arrangements have never been publicly confirmed. Every parliamentary question about those arrangements has been blocked.
A civil servant discussing nuclear deterrent protocols with a Chinese spy agency front is alarming. The Prime Minister's National Security Adviser maintaining undisclosed relationships with PLA-connected officials through his private consultancy, while his vetting status remains secret, demands scrutiny of an entirely different order.
The government's defence of Lillie's meetings is that no sensitive information was discussed. That formulation covers every difficult question this government has faced on China. The spy trial that collapsed because the government refused to name China as a national security threat in court. The super embassy approved despite a concealed underground chamber positioned within a metre of the cables carrying the City of London's financial data. The Mandelson appointment despite a due diligence report flagging China and Russia concerns. The same language. The same outcome.
Dearlove warned yesterday that Chinese intelligence operates on an industrial scale, approaches every engagement with aggressive intentions, and exploits any relationship it can access. He said British officials should have been briefed in detail about the threat before attending these meetings. He said he has serious concerns about the national security adviser's previous contacts with China.
Those concerns are warranted. The question Dearlove has raised about Lillie is a question about process and judgment. The question Powell's undisclosed vetting raises, alongside the spy trial collapse, the super embassy, the Indo-Pacific withdrawal, and Chinese components being embedded throughout Britain's energy grid against explicit American intelligence warnings, goes considerably further.
A pattern of decisions this consistent, each retreating from Britain's interests and advancing Beijing's, each defended with the language of pragmatism and engagement, does not emerge from poor judgment alone. Poor judgment produces occasional errors. Sequential decisions, each pointing in the same direction, over two years, by a Prime Minister warned repeatedly who proceeded regardless, produces a different and more troubling question.
Dearlove wants the ISC to scrutinise Lillie's paperwork. The ISC is already reviewing thousands of pages on Mandelson. Parliament has been blocked from scrutinising Powell.
Scrutinise the civil servant by all means. Then ask who sent him, who knew, and why the pattern of engagement with an organisation accused of fronting for Chinese intelligence runs from the bottom of the Foreign Office all the way to the office of the Prime Minister's National Security Adviser.
