I’m open for new challenges! Personal update: my current contract with Web3 Foundation ends in Jan 2026. Working every day to develop the Polkadot ecosystem has been the best time in my professional life so far. From Feb 2026 I'm open for new roles & consulting on ecosystem strategy, governance, and growth. DMs, intros, and RTs welcome! In this thread: - Thank You! - What I did - What I'm looking for - Who I'm a good fit for

Here’s how much marketing bounty spending has gone out so far in 2025 for @Polkadot based on data from Opengov.watch Breakdown (YTD 2025): Kaito Campaign $670K KOL Agencies $498K The Kusamarian $486K Community Managers $204K Curators & Ops $472K 💰 Total: ≈ $2.33 million spent in under 10 months. Now the real question... is this marketing spend fueling real adoption? forum.polkadot.network/t/marketing-bo…

I’ve shared a proposal for a Dynamic Allocation Pool (DAP): an issuance buffer that sits between @Polkadot’s token issuance and its funding destinations. It comes with a set of complementary protocol changes designed to align Polkadot’s economics for what’s ahead.

Why Builders Pick Polkadot: Part 5: @Hyperbridge Internet-scale interoperability has always been a hard problem. Most bridges today are either too slow, too fragile, or too dependent on trusted middlemen. That’s exactly why Hyperbridge turned to @Polkadot. As co-founder @seunlanlege put it, Polkadot delivers what other ecosystems can’t: • Fast finality: Parachains settle in around 30 seconds, allowing Hyperbridge to push ZK proofs across chains without waiting on sluggish relayers. • Shared security at scale: Polkadot’s relay chain secures the entire network with billions in staked DOT, raising the cost of attacks to levels far beyond what any multisig bridge could claim. • Developer-first flexibility: The Polkadot SDK and Substrate pallets powered the creation of ISMP (Interoperable State Machine Protocol), a framework that decouples consensus from proofs and enables zk coprocessors to compress millions of verifications into one. • Scalability built-in: With async backing live, Hyperbridge now produces blocks every 6 seconds at 8x the throughput, driving real throughput for DeFi messaging. • Future alignment: By syncing vToken prices through verifiable oracles, Hyperbridge is laying the groundwork for intent-based swaps and cross-chain liquidity without wrappers. In a recent demo, he showcased zk consensus proofs being broadcast to six different chains simultaneously. For Hyperbridge, Polkadot isn’t just infrastructure, it’s the settlement layer that makes trustless interoperability real.

Over 300 participants have already registered for their chance at the $40,000 prize pool from the Polkadot Builder Party! Submissions open October 6th. Secure your spot today ⤵️

Since the first Treasury burn on June 20, 2020, @Polkadot has burned ~20M DOT over 80 months — about 1.25% of today’s supply. 5 days left before Ref #1692 (Hard Pressure) enters Confirmation. If passed, OpenGov will decide: → How much issuance goes to the Treasury → How much of Treasury gets burned For context (data via Grok, may vary slightly): Ethereum: 6.31M ETH burned since EIP-1559 (≈5.2% of supply) Avalanche: 30–45M AVAX burned (≈4–6% of supply) BNB Chain: 66M BNB burned (≈33% of supply) TRON: 40B TRX burned (≈40% of supply) ⚠️ Note: Different networks have different inflation profiles. But for Polkadot — how much should we burn? 🔥 1️⃣ Keep the current level 2️⃣ Burn 1% of the month-end Revenue Pot balance each month 3️⃣ Burn 10% of the month-end Revenue Pot balance each month 4️⃣ Burn 50% of the month-end Revenue Pot balance each month 🗳️ What’s your vote? Feel free to share other thoughts as well!

👋 @Polkadot is about to make unstaking way smoother 🎉 No more fixed 28 days — instead, a dynamic 2–28 day window: ✨ As fast as ~2 days when demand is low 🛑 Up to 28 days if everyone rushes out The code’s ready. Next stop → runtime upgrade! 🔥
