How would you improve this C++?
It's a circular queue to hold video frames until their sync timestamp comes due. I've tried to strike a balance between readability and using up to date language features...
Always looking for (constructive) input, especially on newer C++ constructs that I'm not up to speed on yet.

@davepl1968 That's why I use LabVIEW as my everyday programming language. I easily remember images and visual patterns. Where some may remember easily text, for others it is images.

I used to be able to run Windows 3.1 in my head.
You see, back before Microsoft, when I was a third-year student, I worked for a computer company (later acquired by IBM) where I did the PC telephone support for a few thousand people who had bought IBM PS/2s through the company.
If you’ve ever worked on a helpdesk, especially back when PCs were new to the world, you start to hear and explain the same things over and over. How to add a printer driver. How to change your desktop resolution. Help them run memmaker. Connect a modem. Find a lost file.. and so on.
I did it full time during the summer, and then when fall came around, the company wanted to keep me on part time after class, so they gave me a cell phone. This was 1990, mind you, and that cell phone was about one model newer than the suitcase phone that you see Danny Glover lugging around in Lethal Weapon. And of course, cellular calls were so expensive back then that you were prohibited from sending and receiving personal calls, but it was fun to carry for the attention…. Though in retrospect people probably assumed I was a dealer!
The calls could some in pretty much any time of day, and I could be anywhere when they did, but eventually I found that I didn’t need to be at a desktop to walk someone through about 90% of the surface of Windows. I just eventually knew most every menu, icon, control panel applet, setting, widget, and so on by heart.
That meant I could walk someone through something like installing a printer driver without looking, telling them where to click and what to do from memory. Or pretty much anything, really, that might come up. Now granted, this was Windows 3.1, so it’s a fair concise interface and not the big of a surface to memorize.
Thinking about it, I did it visually. I’m not sure if it’s related to my autism, but I can pretty much see a series of visual screenshots that you would see as you walked through the steps in the UI for real.
So, in a very real sense (but not really), I was “running Windows” in my head!

Last week we tried a subscription model for @iCodeThis
Result? Horrible! 👎
We sold 3 subscriptions worth $60 in 3 days.
Switched back to one-time payments for a lifetime membership and made $140 in one day.
Conclusions?
- People seem to be tired of subscriptions
- One-time payment feels more like an investment, feels good
- The monthly subscription "obligation" reminds you that you didn't act on it, feels bad
- LTV of the customer seems to be higher with one-time payments (although we need more data to say accurately)

@sasworkshops We are actively working on that topic at @NeosoftTechInc to bring more security easily (and that's important) to the NI LinuxRT ecosystem running on sbRIO, cRIO and PXI targets !

@mitchellh Almost every #LabVIEW developers enter in this category. Most of them are engineers first, basic knowledge of programming (or none) and they are all working on amazing projects.
