@spinelessaisha @giosTabasco The work to half the game size was not done by riot games. They just switched to iostore with oodle compression that existed since ue4.25 (just one toggle to enable) and was developed by epic games and shrunk Fortnite games size from 100gb to around 33gb

@giosTabasco halving the games size is genuienly insane work im ngl and i don't think most people would notice a difference because it runs pretty well anyway

i love shitting on valorant but it's genuinely impressive how optimized this game is, when they shifted from ue4 to ue5, they HALVED the games file size and it runs on so many low end devices. it's genuinely commendable how good it runs

@ANEWTLINE I obviously have games installed. Then I mod games and a source unreal build can be 100-200gb if not larger and I got multiple. Archiving of older builds of the game I mod and source codes of games. The tools I use are large in size if you count them all.

Sometimes I wonder what the fuck these people have downloaded because 500GB does just fine for me
