Huge congratulations to TradeXYZ and S&P for this historic partnership. I'm honored that these teams choose to build on Hyperliquid. Seeing official S&P500 perpetual futures launch exclusively on Hyperliquid is a validation of everyone's past years of hard work: global access to decentralized finance, perpetual futures as 24/7 price discovery, and Hyperliquid upgrading the existing financial stack to house all of finance. The S&P500 is synonymous with "the market," a single number that captures the essence of the largest economy in the world. Looking forward to tracking the world's most important financial gauge 24/7 on the most liquid permissionless markets.

S&P Dow Jones Indices and trade[XYZ] have joined forces to launch the first official S&P 500 perpetual contract, available exclusively on Hyperliquid. For 69 years, the S&P 500 has been a defining reference point for global finance. Until now, access to that benchmark has been shaped by market hours, intermediaries, and geography. Today, that changes. The S&P 500 perp is now available 24/7/365, anchored by the official index data required for deep liquidity and institutional confidence at scale.  SPDJI helped define modern indexing. They are stewards of an iconic benchmark, the standard against which portfolios across the globe are measured. We are honored to bring that legacy on-chain. Trade[XYZ] is bringing the world's most iconic assets towards a future of global, continuous markets — a future powered by Hyperliquid.

Hyperliquid

Over the past 2 weeks, RWA trading on Hyperliquid has repeatedly broken records, surpassing $1.3B in open interest and $1.4B in weekend volume. When traditional markets are closed, Hyperliquid is the premier venue for 24/7 price discovery on oil, metals, indices, and other essential assets. This is an important step towards housing all of finance.

That argument made sense right after the TGE, but it’s weaker now. Most airdrop recipients tend to sell relatively quickly, so a large portion of that supply likely already rotated into the market. After more than a year, the holder base is dominated by buyers with a real cost basis, which generally implies stronger conviction. Have you actually used any dashboard to check the balances of the airdrop recipients?

$HYPE I don't think this is a pretty looking chart. Onchain perpetual trading is a brilliant idea, and Hyperliquid has executed it better than anyone. But most of the time there's a disconnect between how good a protocol is and how the token actually performs. Yes, trading fees go towards buybacks. That's good tokenomics on paper. But most HYPE tokens were airdropped, which means the cost basis of most holders is effectively zero. When holders have nothing at risk, conviction is weak and the path of least resistance is to sell into any strength. Layer on top of that a vesting schedule that extends all the way into 2027, and 38.89% of total supply still earmarked for future emissions and community rewards. That's nearly 400 million tokens that haven't even hit the market yet. Buybacks are fighting a war on multiple fronts: zero cost basis sellers, insider unlocks, and a future emissions could dwarf anything the fee mechanism can absorb in the near term. tl'dr - Love the protocol, not the token. I'd be interested below $20.

Not financial advice, but this argument is incorrect. The two substantive points in your post are: (1) Lighter has proximity to Robinhood and large U.S. venture firms; and (2) Lighter has a U.S. office. Neither of these points are relevant to regulation of DeFi derivatives protocols. Right now, the Commodity Exchange Act and its implementing regulations mandate intermediation, i.e., requires derivatives contracts like perpetuals to trade on centralized exchanges. The same rules apply to Hyperliquid, Lighter, and every other perps DEX. Having a U.S. office provides no advantage under current law. For this to change, the CFTC will have to write new rules allowing Americans to trade perps on decentralized markets. That's why @HyperliquidPC exists. Those rules will not, and cannot, pick winners and losers; they will apply equally to every protocol on every blockchain in the world. In that sense, HPC will benefit every perps DEX, Lighter included. May the best product win. Tag me next time!

Why is crypto underperforming? I think it's a convergence of factors with the most important being that AI stole crypto's thunder. Crypto is no longer the fastest horse, this was basically our USP, we were the tech frontier, that's no longer the case. Other contributing factors: - Trump "capturing" the industry makes it an anti Trump trade and drives away many other sovereigns -> we need our neutral card back - Quantum fear, the lower price goes the bigger of a discussion it becomes - Miners pivoting to AI - Trump uncertainty in general (tariffs, Friday evening moves, irrational behavior) I don't know where the bottom is but I know that the big winners coming out of our industry will trade exponentially higher in the not too distant future.

Global investors are increasingly piling into Brazilian stocks: Brazilian stocks have recorded +$6.6 billion in foreign inflows so far in 2026. This already surpasses the +$4.9 billion recorded in the entire 2025. As a result, the average daily trading volume for Brazilian equities jumped to $6.1 billion last month, the highest since November 2022. Furthermore, the Brazil ETF, $EWZ, which covers 85% of the nation's stocks, surged +17% in January, its best monthly performance since 2020. A weakening US Dollar and higher commodity prices are driving the historic move higher. Brazil's bull market is accelerating.
