The day before he killed himself, Hitler tested his cyanide pills on his dog. The dog died in seconds. By April 1945, Hitler was hiding 8 meters underground in a concrete bunker beneath Berlin. The Soviet army was 500 meters from his door. He was 56. After years of drug injections from his personal doctor, his left hand shook so badly he could barely sign his name. He had not seen daylight in 105 days. April 20 was his birthday. He went up to the garden behind his headquarters and handed medals to boys from the Hitler Youth who were fighting Soviet tanks. It was the last time he saw the sun. April 28: Hitler had Eva Braun's brother-in-law Hermann Fegelein, an SS general, shot in the garden for trying to flee Berlin in regular clothes. April 29, just after midnight: Hitler married his longtime girlfriend Eva Braun. The ceremony was 10 minutes. She started writing her old last name on the marriage certificate, caught herself, and wrote "Hitler" instead. They served champagne afterward. Later that afternoon, Hitler dictated his will. Then his doctor tested a cyanide pill on his German Shepherd Blondi. Her puppies were shot afterward. April 30 at 3:30 PM: Hitler bit into a cyanide pill and shot himself in the right temple. Eva took cyanide alone, sitting next to him on the couch. Their bodies were carried up to the garden, soaked with 200 liters of gasoline (about 4 full car tanks), and set on fire. Soviet soldiers captured the parliament building that same afternoon, 500 meters away. The next day, Hitler's propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels and his wife Magda poisoned their 6 children in the bunker. Then they walked outside and killed themselves too. Berlin surrendered 48 hours later. Germany followed within a week. A man who had ruled Germany for 12 years died in a concrete box with his wife of 40 hours and the ashes of his dog.

The BGS 3 sets ahead of me is in the US. The BGS 2 sets ahead of me is in the US doing internal medicine residency. The BGS a class ahead of me is in the US doing cardiology residency. My own class BGS has passed her step 1 and 2. The BGS of the immediate class below mine just wrote her step 2. Nigeria keep losing intelligent minds to foreign countries and sadly the government is not bothered.

You guys don’t understand what Portable and Carter Efe have just achieved with this bout. There is 50 million naira on the cards for them. 50% of the tickets were sold in 24 hours. MTN has jumped in as sponsors, entertainment billionaires, E-Money, Soso, etc have also jumped in. That means corporate and private sponsorship are growing for boxing. Just want the promoters want. Carter Efe and Portable, more specifically, are the faces behind a new level of boxing 🥊 promotion. In Africa. Portable is the exact character they needed to champion this strategy of organized “chaos” and he’s leading it so well. He’s been consistent of the card. Fought Speed Darlington, brought Charles Okocha and now Carter Efe. It’s part of a successful marketing plan. Their boxing match was organized by Balmoral Promotions, who sold a partnership idea to one of the biggest boxing promoters in Africa, Amir Khan Promotions. Amir Khan himself is a British boxer who won an Olympic silver medal for Britain at the age of 17 (record). He later became the youngest ever boxer to win the WBA belt at the age of 22. That is the calibre of person behind the promotions and exactly why this fight ia being advertised on major platforms like DAZN and ESPN. By Week 3 of the official announcement, the promoters recorded over 100 million views across platforms and 93 millions distributions + active subscribers. It’s not like boxing has lowered its standards. These guys are bringing the numbers and interests back to the ring in a developing Nigerian and African boxing market. They’re the entertainment laced into 7 other professional bouts that will take place on the same night. The fight is scheduled to be streamed. A full commentary team from UK and first grade productions. A win for Portable and Carter. A win for boxing in Africa.

Druski's story is insane. In 2017, Drew Desbordes was a 23-year-old sports analytics major at Georgia Southern who got depressed, stopped going to class, and dropped out after two semesters. His mom cried when he told her. He moved into her living room in Gwinnett County, Georgia, propped his phone on a shelf, and started filming character skits on Instagram. The handle was @Druski2funny. For almost three years, nothing happened. He was broke. He played a record exec character named Kyle Rogger that nobody outside his feed knew. Then COVID hit. Nobody was going outside, so they tuned into his Instagram Lives. March 2020, Lil Yachty puts him in the "Oprah's Bank Account" video. Five months later, Drake casts him in "Laugh Now Cry Later." Druski has called it the moment that changed his life. The part nobody talks about: he turned the parody into the real business. Coulda Been Records started as a satire of label gatekeepers. He's said he studied Suge Knight and Sean Combs to build the bit. Then he flipped the joke into a real label, a real touring company, and a real production studio. Streaming platforms passed on his shows. He self-funded "Coulda Been Love" and "Coulda Been House" through 4lifers Entertainment, the company he founded in 2023. The Coulda Woulda Shoulda tour grossed $2.5M. Coulda Fest sold out State Farm Arena. The 2025 ten-city arena tour with Snoop, Wiz, Jack Harlow, and Chief Keef sold out every date. Forbes ranked him #9 on the top creators list at $14M earned in 2025. He owns equity in Happy Dad Hard Seltzer. He owns an FCF League team. He shot a Super Bowl spot for Dunkin'. Eight and a half years from a phone propped on a shelf in his mom's living room to hosting the BET Awards. He couldn't get into the industry. So he built a parody of it. Now the parody is hosting it.

I tell people and from what I've seen. If you have elderly parents , Make sure their House is bungalow compared to stair-cased duplexes. Also for elderly, Marble floors might look like luxury but don't be tempted to put it in your elderly parent's house. I've seen too many falls from climbing stairs (which has higher chances of happening as one ages from bone and spine changes), To slipping off on Marble and having a head injury. I saw one floor that is very elderly friendly and I think more Nigerians should adopt it for their parents compared to slippery marbles and tiles.

Bungalows are slowly becoming an unpopular choice in prime Lagos areas like the Island, Magodo, and Ogudu

A 24-year-old got fired from OpenAI two years ago. He started a hedge fund. In the first half of 2025 it returned 47% while the S&P 500 made just 6%. He owns no Nvidia, no Google, no Amazon. His biggest stock is a fuel cell company. His name is Leopold Aschenbrenner. German kid, both parents are doctors, finished Columbia at 19 at the top of his class. He worked on AI safety at OpenAI for about a year before they fired him in 2024. He says it was for flagging security problems. That same June he published a 165-page essay predicting that by 2027, AI would be smart enough to do any human’s job. A few months later, the Collison brothers from Stripe and a couple of well-known tech investors gave him money to start a fund. A year ago the fund held $255 million in stocks. The latest filing shows $5.5 billion. It sits across just 29 companies, with the top ten making up 86% of everything he owns. His biggest stock is Bloom Energy. They make fuel cells: container-sized power plants you can park right next to a data center so you don’t have to wait years for the local grid to hook you up. The stock is up roughly 1,500% since the start of 2024. Bloom reported earnings on Tuesday: sales more than doubled year-on-year, and the stock jumped 22% the next day. The rest of the top five is the same idea. Lumentum makes the optical cables AI chips use to talk to each other inside data centers. CoreWeave rents out the AI chips themselves. Core Scientific and IREN are former Bitcoin miners turning their warehouses into AI computing centers. His whole bet is on the unsexy parts of the AI buildout: power generators, cooling systems, wiring, fiber. He thinks the thing holding AI back is electricity, so he owns the companies selling the shovels. There’s a catch. A separate filing from early 2025 shows his investors have only put in $383 million. That means the $5.5 billion stock pile is mostly borrowed money, roughly $14 of stocks for every $1 of real cash. When prices climb, the math works beautifully. When they fall, it can wipe out the fund fast. His one public bet against a stock is on Infosys, the giant Indian IT outsourcing company. The bet: AI coding tools like Claude and ChatGPT will take over what Infosys gets paid to do. Warren Buffett does the opposite. Berkshire Hathaway, his company, ended last year sitting on $373 billion in cash, which is the largest corporate cash pile in American history. He’s hoarding because nothing looks cheap enough to buy. Aschenbrenner’s top five trade at fourteen times what they sell in a year, and Buffett wouldn’t touch a single one of them. Whether handing this kid $25 billion is genius or insane comes down to one date. Whether the AI he’s predicting actually arrives close to 2027.

Back in the day in medical school, my pathology seminar topic was "Autoimmune Hepatitis." I started my presentation with: "A house divided against itself cannot stand..." Instantly, my pathology lecturer started clapping. Long story short, he gave me 10/10 with a standing ovation at the end of my presentation.
