You know the observable phenomenon of men having a heated discussion and then wrapping it up and having a beer and laughing about other stuff? (Admittedly rarer and rarer as discourse is feminised); I expect this is learnt in healthy homes where Dads are not obstructed from correcting their sons by their wives’ impulse to comfort or protect. And then they move on to another topic with no drama, instead of being taught that correction/conflict is a threat by their mothers’ behaviour. If little boys learn that correction is not a threat but a blessing and that it doesn’t mean a pall hangs over the day, they can take it in their stride.

Due to the Schumer Shutdown, Louisiana will use our fiscal savings to provide state-funded benefits for the elderly, disabled, and children on SNAP. I am thankful to the legislature for working diligently to find a way to protect the most vulnerable in our State.
