"countless number of people are depending on you to do what God has called you to do" has been stuck in my head. "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." (Heb 3:15) The cost of hardening our hearts is much steeper than we think.

Jesus did something amazing by declaring that man does not live on bread alone. He affirmed that we are not like animals, who's only needs are physical. We are flesh and consume flesh for sustenance, but we are spiritual, ensouled beings, and require spiritual food to subsist. Jesus is this spiritual food, the manna from heaven.
