@SCMates @SC__Bandit That’s why I wanna see it with Howe & Moore in the team. I think we’re playing more chip mark because we’re vulnerable on the counter without them. We don’t have the forward line to do that every week but with Howe & Moore it allows us to counter attack quicker

Idk I’d disagree regarding the style of play, Collingwood like to chip the ball around with the end goal of getting to either Houston or Daicos. At Port, Houston was the main distributor but in a different method. Jaicos is pushing way more up the ground, eventhough he is starting at hb compared to last year

Interesting data here from Freako. Houston has only averaged more than 6 marks in a season once across his career to date. Is this level sustainable with Moore and Howe to come back? #SuperCoach

@SCMates @SC__Bandit I’d disagree. He was getting 8+ handball receives at port, which I think is the main indicator of when a team is trying to force feed someone. Especially when Collingwood marks are so high his HB receives rlly should be higher Jaicos is still down back too

Not necessarily, Houston isn’t really one who gets a cheap1-2. Whitfield is one that would be high on handball receives due to his run and carry. Houston can boot the ball 50m out of defence no worries. Regarding Howe, it is another avenue for them forward. When things didn’t go right for them, Howe was swung fwd. Josh Daicos was the main distributor off hb last year, that is now Houston’s role. He is essentially doing what he did at Port

@SCMates @SC__Bandit If that was the director wouldn’t we see an increase in his handball receives? The marks are up across the board for collingwood defenders with 5 in the top 20 He doesn’t have a monopoly on kick ins either & Howe will eat into that slightly imo. 0 chance Howe goes forward too

@SC__Bandit I’d say so, if the directive is to get it into the hands of Houston. I could see Collingwood start to move Howe more fwd at time. The role is clear for Houston as the +1 off half back. As long as he keeps the monopoly on kickouts he’s a good pick

@FantasyFreako Maybe it’s game plan because collingwood defenders are 1/4 of the top 20 for marks per game I think he’s more of a 95 guy with Moore & Howe back

@Secko_IFS I’m not worried about him losing the kick ins. I’m worried about a game style change with Moore & Howe back. Both no doubt add ball use & speed out of the backline. We won’t be as chip mark imo

Houston.. we have a problem?? 25.8% of the Top 1% are trading in Dan Houston, but is he the right trade in option? • Houston has the most kick ins for the Pies this season with 11. However… • Going back to the start of 2025, there were 16 games that both Houston and Howe played. • In those games, Howe had 55 kick ins while Houston only had 25. That’s a drop of 4 kick ins per game from his 2 games in 2026, ~13 PPG lost from kick ins alone. • Not to mention Howe and Darcy Moore’s work with the ball in their hand out of D50 potentially taking more points away. • He’ll still make cash scoring low 80s but only for a couple of weeks then will be another mid pricer in no man’s land #aflsupercoach @SCInsightPod

Countup clock has NEVER made an exciting finish less exciting. Countdown clock often does. Eg. 89 GF & 99 PF. Everyone at MCG thought Cats/Dons were still a chance right until siren sounded. TV viewers knew it was over with 10/20 secs left. TV should mirror in-venue experience.

@_Biiggie Our future is fine mate. I always say, the 23-29 year core players are who you want, not a rebuild. There are plenty of good players who don’t get an opportunity at their club or want to move in free agency, drafting is such a gamble which doesn’t work.
