Had to break off early for an airport run last night but it was awesome hanging out with @Negative_Tilt for a while. I look forward to seeing what he scored on the late stuff after I split.

@PatrickDickey There is a retaining clip inside that may have come loose, reducing the pressure the metal spring provides. Easy fix with the new plate! New locking mount design coming soon too, hopefully available in a few weeks.

@_BoltHunter I wanted to let you know that I got my replacement. And, I didn't even have to switch the mounting plate. I'm guessing the original one was a bit off, and that was the problem. As for it, I may tear it apart and see if I can figure out what actually "broke" on it. Thank you.

@_BoltHunter Question about the BoltHunter. The device keeps slipping off the camera shoe. I've tried pushing the springs out, but it still slides off. And I think it's fallen one too many times, because now it doesn't detect the camera. Any suggestions?

@PatrickDickey Yep, I included the mount (with tool and new screws) in the box with the new unit. Shipped it all out this morning. Was the new unit intended to replace the old potentially damaged one, or for a second camera?

@_BoltHunter I purchased an entire unit yesterday. I figured since it won't detect the camera, there's something more going on. I'd imagine that it dropped on the floor one too many times. If you haven't shipped the mount and unit yet, you can combine them. Order 00347 is the new one.

Better than fireworks. Feels like I've waited 250 years to get this shot.

@PatrickDickey It definitely shouldn't be that loose. I'm shipping you a replacement mount! Let me know if the trigger begins acting up more than just giving the camera detection error. If it stops triggering consistently, I'll replace the whole thing.

@_BoltHunter Sorry, I didn't reply sooner. So, it says "Camera not detected". Otherwise, it appears to function normally. I have the camera mounted at about a 15-degree angle, and it slips out if it's even slightly bumped. The locking mount will be a much-needed improvement.
