It’s a fun watch with great moments, but it’s not flawless. -Peter is the best part. He has some issues but I liked a lot of his moments. -DDC is a great. -The mystery villain is terrible. -Punisher and Hulk are done badly. -The plot is messy. -The world building is atrocious.

I love that these movies strongly imply that Aunt May knows that Peter is Spider-Man but they never have some stupid scene where she’s like “of course I know you idiot who do you think washes your costume??”

Man, this speech is so fucking good. Perfect encapsulation of why Spider-Man still means so much to me to this very day. It’s like the movie is taking a second to explain why Spider-Man matters, and the fact it works perfectly with the rest of the film is incredible.
