Teddie’s issues come from a localization fuckup and then later flanderization, but has an actually decent arc, morgana’s character arc is nonsensical and is tied to the worst arc in the game (okumura)

People who tell me Hopes is better than Houses baffle me because Gleam is the worst Fire Emblem story ever written and even accepting 3H’s gameplay has major pitfalls Warriors games just fucking suck and Hopes isn’t even a good one

This is because pokemon is a consistently terrible franchise that has ruined how people view turn-based rpg gameplay and all perception of quality comes from nostalgia, which is why people tend to exclusively dickride the gens they grew up with

I can’t speak on other IP but Atlus only really has this problem with Persona because they’ve been mindfucked by P4/5, things like SMT and Metaphor are still challenging in the right places

I wish modern sega games weren't designed to be as frictionless as possible I feel like for most of their major IP the difficulty has severely evaporated throughout the 2010s and reached the state of braindead easy they often are now in the 2020s
