While the rest of the nation gets hit with higher capital gains tax, there’s a special carve-out for foreign investors in renewable energy.
They get to keep the 50% CGT discount at a cost of $425 million to the taxpayer.
Foreign investors already don’t pay Capital Gains tax on shares and intangible assets. Why didn’t Chalmers crack down on them?
The answer of course is that the Labor party, like the Liberal party are controlled by foreign interests.!
But wait there’s more.
Under the capacity investment scheme underwriting agreements, if the actual revenue earned by a project is below the agreed revenue floor, the Australian government will pay the project operator 90 per cent of the revenue shortfall up to the agreed annual cap for 15 yrs. (see comments)
The Labor government will grant “whatever it takes” subsidies to ensure “renewable” energy is a part of the energy grid, no matter the cost to the taxpayer.
But in keeping with the government vibe of transparency the cost of the scheme can’t be disclosed and I quote.
“The CIS is listed in the budget papers as a contingent liability, alongside the Snowy 2.0 hydro electric scheme, which has already blown out in costs by billions.
According to the budget papers, "The Australian government's maximum liability and estimated payments under these (CIS) agreements are not for publication due to commercial sensitivities".
It’s not hard to see why the major parties are struggling. Wasting taxpayers money and refusing to disclose it has to stop.

Albanese stated 97 times before the 2022 election that electricity prices would be reduced 275 dollars a year due to Labors policies.
Albanese stated 50 times before the 2025 election , he would not touch negative gearing or capital tax.
If Labor win the next election, Albanese will take that as a mandate to bring in an inheritance tax. You can take that to the bank. He can no longer be trusted.

Albanese completely misses the point - no doubt on purpose.
Each Labor MP and Senator is FULLY in charge of what they CHOOSE to spend.
Just because they CAN fly first class, does not mean they HAVE TO.
These $400,000+ Amex bills are racked up by CHOICE and GREED.
The 'tax the rich' party loves living rich at the expense of taxpayers and utterly refuses to be held accountable.

Anthony Albanese looks on smugly as Nat Barr reads out viewers texts fuming at the outrageous spending of politicians, including Albo, on the taxpayers money. And then turning around and hiking taxes in the budget. Albo retorts “the rules are the rules”

@burkylie12 This makes @SenatorPayman's claim that there's no-one she can speak to regarding revoking her Afghani citizenship look hollow. As a dual-National she shouldn't be in the Senate.

All those articles about how Eurovision has suddenly got political becuase of Israel only has to look at these jury votes where you could almost predict who some of they will give the most points to.

The TEALS are utterly silent on Tickle v Giggle.
Not one of them has stood up for the women and girls in their own electorates.
Instead, by their silence they’re actively selling them out — sacrificing their rights to safety, privacy, dignity, and single-sex spaces just to appease predatory men and far-left ideology.
"Community Independents”? What a pathetic joke.
These are not "independents" — they’re hard-left woke activists who happily trample over the safety and rights of the very women and girls who elected them, all in the name of gender ideology.
Pauline Hanson puts every single one of them to shame.

Well Keir Starmer was worried about people inciting violence today.
Turns out it’s from the far-left protesters who said “shoot him in the neck like Charlie Kirk” about Tommy Robinson.
Will he be arrested and fast tracked through the courts @metpoliceuk?

The Minister for the NDIS is dodging questions.
Jenny McAllister is refusing to confirm how many non-citizens are on NDIS.
It comes after a foreign offender on the scheme was spared deportation.
Listen to the details HERE.

Imagine a budget that...
Closed the department of climate change.
Ended all net zero grifts and handouts.
Shut out all NDIS scamming shrinking it by two-thirds.
Closed almost all of the Indigenous activist gravy train.
Took all non-Australians off all public support.
And used the savings to pay off the trillion-dollar debt.
Which would almost immediately fix the inflation problem.
And then next year - the budget could reward everyone with huge personal tax cuts.

Gay men and lesbians were hoodwinked in to supporting Labor’s 2013 amendments to Sex Discrimination Act. At the time they believed the change would protect them from discrimination. Little did they know it wasn’t at all what the change was about!
But there was opposition at the time. The Gillard government received a submission that highlighted the risk to biological women’s rights from Equality Rights Alliance (ERA), Australia’s largest network of women’s organisations advocating for gender equality
In Submission 21, April 2013 ERA specifically flagged the risk that adding gender identity would weaken existing biological protections for women. At the time they were offered reassurance that the changes would not infringe on biological women’s protections, ***because sex remained a standalone protected attribute***
Fast forward to 2026 and is the mess today as a result of unintended consequences? Or was it a calculated plan to erase biological women’s sex?
Either way you cannot say the Gillard government wasn’t warned

Regarding the Kristof column. Let’s put aside the dog rape stuff and focus on one additional specific example of why it was such poor and indefensible journalism. There were two named victims of sexual assault by Israeli soldiers in Kristof’s column.
One of them Issa Amro. He was detained and interrogated for 10 hours on 10/7.
The only problem? He himself put out the below video about what happened to him that day. I will link to it in this week’s newsletter. In the video, he claims his hands were tied tightly, they cursed at him, and he was hit several times. But at no point does he suggest anything even close to sexual assault.
Two weeks later, he was interviewed by ABC news. Again, no mention of sexual assault. He would later be interviewed by the Washington Post and would claim he was threatened with sexual assault (but not that it occurred). This person repeatedly talked about the events that day and never once claimed sexual assault except when it became convenient to fit Kristof’s narrative to provide evidence of a systemic problem. And no, it’s not a coincidence that this activist has done a ton of media.
Did Kristof know that there was a contemporaneous account from one of the two named alleged victims that does not claim sexual assault? Did the NYT editors know the person being cited changed their story?
Was Amro even asked why his story changed?
None of this seemed to matter.
