Happy birthday to former Booker T. Washington, University of Oklahoma and Cleveland Browns linebacker Dominique Alexander, born on this day in 1995 in Tulsa. Alexander was an All-State selection as a senior after making 121 tackles, four sacks, forcing four fumbles and intercepting a pass. After initially committing to Arkansas, he flipped to OU and played in all 13 games as a true freshman, including eight starts. He made 80 tackles and had a sack, earning Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honors. As a sophomore, he led the Sooners in tackles (107) and had 2.5 sacks to earn second-team All-Big 12. He also led OU in tackles as a junior and earned first-team All-Big 12. After his junior season, he declared for the NFL Draft, finishing his OU career with 290 tackles, four sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Browns and appeared in 14 games as a rookie, making seven tackles and recovering a fumble in a backup role.
