@_Daym4n @ArthurAndEric @bhx_official The new scanners scanned plastic bags a month ago, so not sure why they can’t now, assume it more to do with security checking bottles over 100ml

The new government directive means passengers can only carry liquids, pastes and gels up to 100ml in their hand luggage. It is imperative that all customers comply with the nationwide rule to ensure a smoother and simpler transition through the airport.

@bhx_official @BusBlakey But you still have to queue for the lift, so don't assume the express lane is faster from arrival at the airport.

@BusBlakey If you have express lane tickets, please follow the signs in the terminal for departures and security, you will see express lane is signposted for you. You will not be required to join the main security line, should there be one at your time of entry.

@_Daym4n @bhx_official The problem is people take more than 100ml/don’t follow the rules, so huge amounts of bags have to be manually checked then sent round again. Biggest delay at BHX has always been people not following the simple guidelines. Made a lot worse currently by the building changes.
