I know I’m gunna get attacked for this but why in the year 2023 of our Lord are parents not vaccinating their kids anymore?! Like ya’ll want polio and measles to run rampant again?!

@ICameBack5 I was very skinny and was a late bloomer. No hips til 16, barely breasts through high school. Didn’t actually have any until 20. Jumped from A to a C with no weight gain.

Pro tip for LDS parents of adult kids: Venmo your kids some money and label it “conference snacks” It’s a great way to remind them to watch General Conference without being a nag

@HansFiene I was told as a teen I didn’t seem Mormon. And then Moved states and my new friends never guessed and actually didn’t believe me when I told them I was. Mormons tried so hard for so long to be different and “unique,” I didn’t want to be like that.

Mormon physiognomy is a real thing. Having grown up in Utah, I can spot a Mormon at 50 yards. I did this on my honeymoon. My wife and I were holding the cruise ship elevator for a couple coming down the hallway and I told my wife "they're Mormons" and she said "how do you know," and I said "by looking at them" and she said "you can't tell if someone is Mormon just by looking at them" and I said "yes I can" and then they got in the elevator and I asked where they were from and they were from Utah and he had just finished his mission.

@deseretnoise We stopped going before kids, and have gone once since having kids. It’s just sooooo boring and the kids barley can last through on hour of sacrament. We also skip conference and go to the zoo or something as a family instead.

I agree. I haven't been to Stake Conference since having more than 1 child (we're talking like, 7 years). A two hour in-person Sacrament-style meeting is wildly impractical for families – the Church's primary demographic.

@goanddo I didn’t make any covenants to wear them…and yeah, I have a calling AND temple recommend that I just renewed a couple months ago. My bishop and the stake pres, who is in my ward/neighborhood, both know what I wear in daily life.

Has anyone else known women who leave the church....after years of hanging out in workout clothes (and no garments)? Judge me all you want...it's a pattern I've seen. Would love to see if anyone else has noticed.

Seems it’s time to reshare this since I got an email from church this morning that we were exposed to measles attended a church event last week. 🙃 We are all vaccinated but there were infants and elderly people at this event!! Get your damn vaccinations!!!!!

A woman on threads said pacifiers are not good for babies and should be banned. I shared how they were very helpful for my son as a baby. She’s now on a mission to convince me she could have cured him without it only using a crib block. Oh, she still won’t tell me her credentials

Hi so !! Pre-eclampsia is literally life threatening !!! Like it’s not just “oh my blood pressure is high and my ankles are swollen” it’s like “can and will cause a stroke or multi-organ failure if untreated.” You guys know that, right? It’s important to me that you know that.

Why don’t I see National daily coverage, vigils, and presidential attendance of school shooting victims? Why does it seem the value of CKs life is more important than children? Oh, it’s because he was a public right figure. Kids typically don’t have public extreme opinions yet.
