I knew most of these dishes were New England Chinese food specialties but boneless spare ribs being primarily a northeast thing is shocking to me, it’s like when I found out the rest of the country doesn’t eat steak tips

The Spain Pavilion was a planned, but never built, pavilion intended for EPCOT’s World Showcase in the 1980s. It was one of the most heavily teased Phase II additions, even appearing on billboards. In 1981, Disney secured a deal where the Spanish government funded the initial design phase (roughly $500,000, the average cost for a Phase II pavilion at the time). A press release even announced Spain had “joined the growing list of countries” for Epcot’s expansion alongside Israel and Equatorial Africa. But a change in Spanish leadership in the early 1980s left Disney negotiators returning to Madrid only to discover “we had no friends” left in the new government. Sponsorship evaporated, and the whole project died. The pavilion would have featured two major experiences: (1) a gentle boat or dark ride gliding through the Spanish countryside and “little-known Edens” (think olive groves, pueblos, and coastal scenes blending old and new Spain), and (2) a CircleVision-style film highlighting vacation spots and cultural landmarks. A marketplace would let guests browse the “new and old of Spain.” The empty plot between Morocco and France (right along the lagoon) was the reserved spot. Decades later, during the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, a temporary Spain kiosk pops up there. #EPCOT #DisneyFacts

TKO is asking some talent to restructure their deals. Wild. New Day just re-signed a new deal last year. Once you’re not over or you hit a creative wall, TKO will try to get you to take a cut. Creative is in control of how you are presented.
