@AlphaWolf1679 Hell CONCORD got preserved by fans thanks to custom servers. With Destiny 2 there is absolutely no preserving the base game and early expansions unless somehow backed up that version of the game before the removal (which I doubt someone did)

Never ceases to annoy me how Destiny 2 is somehow the worst preserved game of all time and a complete mess to play because Bungie thought it would be a brilliant idea to remove the base game and multiple expansions. I paid full price for Destiny 2 in 2017.

@Kyithios Accurate summation but also to add on: The art style and ui are visual cancer to a lot of people me included There are 0 community elements in marathon. No social space, clans, or ways to interact with other players outside of a run. Destiny was first and foremost a social game.

TL;DR at the top: People big mad that Destiny 2 sacrificed for Marathon. Marathon completely different from Destiny. Even if Marathon get PvE elements, it missing everything else. Content Creators that are angry spread that anger to their audiences, too. Alright. Aside from the fact that many of them consider Destiny 2 sacrificed for Marathon and so they hate it because of that? There's other issues. Destiny 2 was not an extraction shooter, and the mechanics are different. Despite Marathon adding a PvE mode, it doesn't scratch the same itch. There are still a lot of elements missing. Destiny has a charm that Marathon completely lacks. Marathon has no raids, no dungeons, no patrols, no real bosses to fight. Aside from the Wardens who are like... More of the same... And the Compiler, which many of us will never even lay eyes on let alone shoot at, there's not much there to match up to what Destiny 2 has for content. While I agree that Destiny 2 refugees should hop over to Marathon, I understand the reasons why they don't. Extraction shooters are a niche and they aren't for everyone. Gear fear is a big deal. Destiny 2 meanwhile, you had people hoarding stuff in their vaults they never intended to use again because it's basically a trophy. With wipes every season, they can't do that in Marathon. And even though Destiny 3 has a higher chance of coming around if more support is given to Marathon, we both know that spite is a better motivator to keep people away from something than to bring them into it. And right now, the wound is fresh. So people like Datto who say they don't give a shit and won't ever jump in to their large audiences feed into that spite.

@snoooku @OrdinaryGamers I think riot still has an unclaimed $100k bounty up for anyone who finds things like that with vanguard. Not saying there's no possibility for nefarious parties to ignore it but it seems like a much easier payday to claim that than trying to steal data.

Making a video on this anticheat stuff. As much as people fear monger it nothing here actually damages your system. You can reinstall windows and get access to your cheat hardware. I wouldn’t stress about false positives on normal systems and even VM systems. If this weirds you out don’t install anti cheats like this but sadly this is what you have to do to fight cheaters these days.

It was supposed to launch in March but was delayed to June because they were doing the tier overhaul on all the dungeon and raid loot currently in the game.

Overall view: - Destiny 2 probably should have ended with Final Shape with Destiny 3 already incubating - If Destiny 2 was going to keep existing, it shouldn't have been what we got, which was badly handled - Marathon siphoned a ton of resources and there is no disputing that

@kagoshimalunch @osistemabruto @riotgames Yea the nvmes with dma on them. If vanguard detects it it tells the nvme to put a read block on the device so your computer won't interact with it anymore. Os reinstall is the only way to fix it afaik.

I heard somewhere that you actually shouldn't do this because the crawl across the beach into the sea helps them with navigation later in life. You can fend of predators while they make the crawl so they get to the water safely but apparently do not carry them, I guess?
