Hello Jim, how are you? Long time no speak. There is an argument to make that Newcastle should have sold earlier given they ended up caving at the end of the window, but Liverpool weren’t offering £128m they were offering £110m. The owners were adamant they wouldn’t sell him. Isak forced them to by going on strike and the saying he would refuse to play even when the window was closed again. It was a mess that’s for sure. It hasn’t worked out well for anyone as things stand. Which is the point of the article

@ADMusgrove No last night was called adapting to your opponents. Which is what we should do ever week. Not square pegs in round holes with the subs aswell. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting the results to be different. Adapt to your opponent.

@_EverythingNUFC I agree with that! Or play on unless its an obvious head injury until ball either out of play or the player down for 2minutes. They will soon get up. Goal kicks, corners, throw ins 5seconds to take or a yellow card.

What an awful watch that was. SKY must be fuming. 20% football, 80% time-wasting and faking injuries. Newc have been guilty of this in the past also. The league has to combat this. Onto the game, we are too reliant on Bruno; we need a creative CM and dare I say it another CF.

@CharIieBennett I agree. I thought Isak was the same. Technically on another level for Newcastle, but his desire to get into the 6 yard box was poor. His numbers would have been double if he did. Nick has very good qualities, but I have doubts around him being able to hit the levels we need.

@_EverythingNUFC It was probably unfair to lump him in a convo with the best two No.9s of this era. Was trying to highlight how pace isn't the be-all and end-all for a striker. Woltemade has raw talent, but needs a lot of fine-tuning to become a great player.

On Nick Woltemade, his confidence has plummeted since being rotated. Pace is clearly his weakest attribute. But can that be worked on/improved? Ruthless goalscorers like Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski aren’t quick, but they’re quick enough. #NUFC have the ingredients of a decent player there but don’t seem to know how to get the best out of him.
