As you said, it's a dictatorship, no elections. What's going to trigger real change? Imo, war is our only option left.

The Russians perceive that NATO nations are taking over Ukraine as a step toward taking Russia. Just as we perceived that Russia was taking over Cuba as a step towards taking the US. Ukraine was once part of Russia and none of us here in the West have a clear notion of all the details. I have heard that elections no longer occur which makes it a dictatorship.

Legitimately, that is exactly what they want us to believe so we stop supporting Ukraine. They have been doing exactly what since the war started.

They didn't WANT the Americans to believe a nuke was being launched at them, and responding in return. RUSSIA DOESN'T WANT TO BE NUKED EITHER.

@ardalis Depends on how extensive the change was. If it's just swapping the email host, I doubt I would even need to publish. Just update my config in azure and flip the sentinel key. All the apps would dynamically refresh their config and use the new target.

Believe it or not, house affordability hasn't changed much in the last 40 years. What got inflated was people's desire for bigger and more luxurious homes. The median new house today is almost 1000 sqft bigger than 40 years ago. Price per sqft, inflation adjusted:

I have a good job that pays well, and no major debt. I don't qualify for a 3br house anywhere within 75 miles of Portland.

If you’re a lead dev, your main job is to accelerate your team and improve the team and it’s members. Writing the most code or having the most PRs is a very poor way to measure a lead dev.

@ardalis This got me really thinking about how I design my application backend. Flipping through, I see a lot of controller bloat now that you mention it. I try to restrict myself to using service layers, but you still need an entry point. Interesting read.

@Aractor Try adding a kid. Between the sleep deprivation and the endless cycle of being trapped indoors, it was a struggle to remember what month we were in. It was like a monotonous blur for a large portion of it.
