@HighwaysSEAST So you have a vulnerable person on a Bridge in the Jnc1B area, which at that point is 8 lanes wide (4 lanes both Anti CW & CW) why does 1 person necessitate both carriageways to shut?

@_GeraldHamilton We know closures can be frustrating. When the police are leading an investigation, they control the scene. We cannot reopen the road until they confirm it is safe to do so. We will update X when we have more information.

@_GeraldHamilton Hi, thanks for your message. It was only 1 lane closed but traffic was held at the scene for a short time for recovery but that has just been released within the last minute or two. Shonagh

The #A282 QEII Bridge southbound at the Dartford Crossing (@DartCharge) has 1 lane closed due to a broken down vehicle. Recovery is en route. There are delays of 75 minutes and 5 miles of congestion on the approach.

The #A282 #DartfordCrossing eastbore tunnel is closed due to a collision. Traffic Officers are on scene and recovery has been arranged. Long delays are building on approach. Please allow extra journey time this morning.

@tankhead666 @HighwaysSEAST So what you saying is due to Congestion it causes accidents. What causes accidents in congestion....lack of or loss of concentration, so as I said before, poor quality driving. Thanks for proving my point 🫡

@tankhead666 @HighwaysSEAST It's not a difficult driving enviroment. The tunnel has lighting, 2 Lanes with solid white lines to indicate no lane changes. It's 50mph & the Eastbore tunnel has wider lanes than the Westbore. Purely down to lack of concentration.
