Footage of Alonso, seen here, still visibly recovering from the Lewis Hamilton-induced trauma, now resorting to balls deep praise of Verstappen to downplay and deflect. The problem with the gaslighting has-been Alonso, is the trauma from getting beaten by rookie Hamilton, that kickstarted a long list of bad career moves. These days he’ll say about anything to deflect from his own poor performance and take a swipe at Lewis. Nobody takes that old fart serious anymore. The old toxic “el plan” man failed, it’s over. He needs to stop sucking it and leave.

The list goes on and on. From the constant F1 media propaganda to needing a one-man team plus quickest car, to corruption levels of FIA leniency and kamikaze driving and even with all that help and “gEnErAtiOnAL” make believe, he still he couldn’t beat Lewis and needed the FIA to rob his first WDC for him. 🤡🤡🤡 MASSIVELY OVERRATED!!!

You don't even need to be anti-Max to see the level of outside help this guy needs; you just need to open your eyes. This is why, in my eyes, this guy can never be considered anything other than just a good driver. The GOAT or generational talent talk is just nonsense.

The FIA has lost their mind. This is crazy! I've never seen a reg change because one drive in a team is making mistakes while his teammate isn't having similar issues. Something that isn't affecting any other team. Why not tell Max/Redbull to close their wing earlier then? Fred should put his foot down on this and reject any change. First, it was the start procedure, which Ferrari warned them about, and they ignored it; then FTM, and now the Macarena wing. Where does it stop?

Since F1 often feels more like entertainment than a serious sport, here's a theory: Toto has repeatedly said "they owe Lewis the championship that was robbed from him." If you buy into the conspiracy theories, it's not hard to imagine another layer to this promise and it's unfolding before our very eyes. Toto has never seemed particularly fond of George Ru🐍🐍ell, who many believe was a factor in Lewis deciding to join Ferrari. So it's no surprise, in that narrative, that George ends up with the lesser parts, or at least he sure as hell has a lot of misfortune. More importantly, Mercedes now has its new golden prospect in Antonelli. He's so young that sacrificing a race or two, if it made the title fight more entertaining for the sport's owners, who ultimately prioritize entertainment and profit, while also giving Lewis a genuine shot at a long-overdue ninth title, could be viewed as a worthwhile trade-off. Toto can make or break this championship from both a sporting and entertainment perspective by simply turning the engine up or down. Mercedes isn't showing its hand because it doesn't need to. If their engine really is that far ahead of the competition, they can afford to keep everyone guessing until the moment it matters most.

What’s really going on, I think, is this: Horner & Newey undertook a strategy where they focused predominantly updating only one car, which saved money & time & accelerated development. Mekies last year made noises about rejecting that. Now Max is mad.
