I don’t think he “needs” to be a hit, but I certainly wish they left the draft with a starting caliber off ball linebacker.

The Patriots kind of need Namdi Obiazor to be a hit. They are very thing at off-ball linebacker, basically having only Robert Spillane and Christian Ellis at that spot. An injury to either one and Obiazor is the first in line to be a starter.

Only reason he doesn’t seem to have a market outside of one team is because Russini tampered on behalf of Vrabel.
They went out of the way to ensure other WR needy teams like Buffalo, LAC, AZ, JAX, Baltimore, etc don’t call Philly.

A.J. Brown could have been an all-time #Eagles legend. He would never have to buy a beer in the city of Philadelphia for the rest of his life. Now, he'd be lucky if he could buy a beer in Philly. So, before the intellectually and developmentally disabled #Patriots fans say that the Eagles fans are horrible, and we turned our backs on Brown. Just remember, when he was on the sidelines pissed off reading a book. It was the #Eagles fan base made that book number one in the country just to support him.

@Savageboston While his footwork and athleticism are fantastic. I’m not sure he’s ready to hold up against NFL DE’s at the point if attack. He needs to get stronger. He also needs to find the aggression the position needs. He wins with technique and film study instead of aggression.

I see some early negativity around the Caleb Lomu pick -
1. He’s 21 years old
2. Big framed kid, good arm length, good wing span
3. Zero sacks given up last year at left tackle
4. Tons of room to build muscle and fill out
5. Doesn’t have to start immediately
6. Extremely athletic
7. Cost control at a premium position
8. First round talent, first round grade.
This is good.
