There's always more than one side to a story. The side you think is important probably isn't. Everything is much more complicated than you think it is. Trying to provide any kind of context about that gets you hated by just about everyone. I'm going to bed.

I wonder why a severe ME patient lying in the dark for decades (in severe discomfort and often in considerable pain) doesn't evoke that feeling people get when they see someone being tortured or in intolerable pain.

@AlisonGeorge10 @_CatintheHat @CMO_England It’s a failure to understand different scales of risk 🤦‍♀️ Consuming saliva directly > being coughed on > sharing air, with the latter meaning you have to spend more time in someone’s presence for the same level of risk. But crucially it’s not zero.

I’ve gained a lot of new followers since I recorded this video a few weeks ago, the last time I was able to enter Kfarkela before it became an active war zone so I’m sharing it again so people can understand the breadth of the destruction of the southern villages in Lebanon. This is what ethnic cleansing looks like. Kfarkela and Markaba, occupied south Lebanon. The Israelis destroyed most of this after the ceasefire was implemented Cameraman: @aliezzedine7

@CallMeMoNow You know when you experience it! I’ve always been a worrier, but when anxiety hit during perimenopause, it was a completely different beast.

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

MENINGITIS TRANSMISSION Scientists at Bristol Uni have been investigating airborne transmission of meningococcus bacteria for the past few years. Their work is shedding new light on how meningococcus can survive in aerosol droplets due to the protective effect of human saliva.

Our team is studying the aerostability of the bacteria that spreads the disease. Given the current situation, we’ll be looking to publish our findings sooner than later. meningitisnow.org/meningitis-exp…

Please can someone start joining the dots between the Meningitis outbreak & the findings of the Covid inquiry M3 report published earlier today: “In future, guidance should assume that ALL plausible routes of transmission are possible until sufficient evidence proves otherwise.”

MENINGITIS TRANSMISSION Below is the UK Green Book & WHO info about transmission of the meningococcus bacteria which is responsible for the current Meningitis outbreak in Kent. Note use of the word “AEROSOL” in both. 🔗 assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/6849adb8… 🔗 who.int/teams/health-p…

So, IPC & the CNOs really needed a report to tell them this, when aerosol scientists, were telling them, providing evidence for them. Even people like me wrote repeatedly to the CNOs - even met them once. So bitterly disappointed that they waited.

Meningitis isn’t spread by small aerosols. That’s the point. You won’t get it by casual contact or just being in a store with someone infected. It’s not like airborne viruses. We don’t get to rewrite science because of an agenda to push masks. Best prevention of disease is vaccination. Those at risk should be vaccinated. Masking during a live outbreak makes sense but otherwise isn’t necessary. And pushing it will only drive more people away from vaccinating.

WARNING: Surgical masks do not protect you from an airborne pathogen! Meningitus B can be carried on exhaled aerosol. Meaning if you want any protection, wear a respirator. If you are in Kent, mask up PROPERLY, and protect yourself (and others)!! @BBCNews

@thereal_truther @ukhadds @BBCNews To say that it is not airborne is therefore categorically incorrect. And where there has been a serious outbreak, it makes sense to put in place airborne precautions (RPE). Because they will also stop all the other types of transmission.

@thereal_truther @ukhadds @BBCNews As dose is a factor, then you will receive a much larger dose from direct contact with saliva than you will from smaller aerosols, but the risk is not completely eliminated from the latter.
