A crocodile staged an "early check-in" at a Zimbabwe hotel: Hotel staff in Zimbabwe experienced an unusual morning: a three-meter-long Nile crocodile crawled into the hotel pool. The reptile was discovered by a German tourist who went out to the water to take a sunrise photo and initially mistook the animal for a decorative statue. According to the hotel management, the crocodile appeared after an overnight rainstorm, when the water level in a nearby lake rose. Security tried to drive out the intruder with mops and loud music, but the predator moved to the hotel reception area.
