I’ve been in enough useless meetings to last me a dozen lifetimes. I vowed to never put myself (or my team) through one again. So I created a weekly meeting framework called the “Weekly Sync”. It will: Make your team feel supported and empowered by eliminating mistakes and bottlenecks before they happen Get your team CLEAR on what needs to get done Create ownership and accountability among your team members Make your team feel seen and appreciated. Plus, you can run this meeting in 30 minutes, give or take. Reply SYNC and I’ll send you a copy.

I’ve been in NYC for less than 24 hours. My ambition and adrenaline has already increased 10x. It really is the greatest city. Anything is possible here.

Over the last 20 years, NYC has dealt with: - A terrorist attack - A financial crisis - A superstorm/hurricane - A global pandemic NYC was never dead. NYC isn't "back." NYC is and always will be unstoppable.🗽

@ShaneMac Making the preference stack and all sorts of clever add ons should be legally required to be disclosed to employees as part of a 409a (alongside a 10yr exercise window) or just change tax law finally

4.5% of the 6% that exercised paid the taxes but never saw a dollar because of preferences or the startup didn't work out. *Estimate that I made up but know numerous people who've been through it

I'm not a traditional founder or CEO. My background is mixed at best. Thus far my path to success (what it means to me not you/them) has been all over the place + full of dead ends. So if you're like me, just know: the time for nontraditional is now & we need you. You got this 🙂

Amazon paid $97 million for Eero, whose execs got a fat payday while rank and file employees got nothing (or in some cases *lost* money) amazing reporting from @realkrauswife who got an inside look at the acquisition mashable.com/article/amazon…

Here's one of my biggest lessons in hiring and building successful teams that I've not heard many others say: Hire people who are nice. That's it. Nice people get along with other nice people. They build trust quickly. They look out for each other...

The team will often take 10x-20x longer to come to the same conclusion you already came to But if you don't let them, you can't scale

One thing that grinds my gears is when **early stage** startup co-founders aren't transparent with each other about the financial health of the business. Even better - be transparent with your employees.

“In my 20's, I worried about what people were thinking about me. In my 30's, I stopping caring what people were thinking about me. In my 40's, I realized no one was really thinking about me very much.” - @adwane
