An increasingly annoying pain point for me: SaaS services I have been a customer for years (and will remain one for years) do not allow billing annually. They keep billing monthly. I just want one bill per year, and not even looking for a discount... but often no option

@GergelyOrosz It may have to do with the fact that paying annually requires the company to build out a deferred revenue model which they probably don't want to do 🤷🏽‍♂️

A few that I do not understand why they do not do this: Google Workspace Render Twilio SendGrid Netlify GeniusLink YouTube Spotify Been a customer for all of these for years and I really would prefer annual billing (upfront is fine) They don't offer to best of my knowledge

I watched the first episode of Adolescence on Netflix. It’s good. it’s impressive. It’s filmed in a single continuous shot from start to finish. The camera follows the police raid, the arrest of the teenage suspect, the trip to the station, medical checks, the lawyer meeting, and the interrogation. As it weaves through different characters, the details of the case slowly come to light. The story covers one real-time hour, from the early morning raid at 6 a.m. to the interrogation at 7 a.m. The characters, drama, and mystery are all brilliantly portrayed. I have to keep watching this.

Wild: Talked with a startup founder who is pretty sure an SWE applicant they almost hired could have been a NK state-sponsored actor. Aced the interviews, but (in hindsight) used an AI filter. Last round interview focused on non-tech was too weird and they got suspicious.
