CRTs are so cool. - A CRT never sold any of your data. - A CRT never needed an internet connection. - A CRT never used as much electricity as you thought. - A CRT always had style. - A CRT can last over 50 years. - A CRT attracts attention. The list goes on and on.

@younghavok Sure, but it shouldn’t be supported because these versions are on a timer. Once Nintendo decides to no longer host the downloads, these cards are useless if you’re not the OG owner with the game downloaded. Nintendo needs to manf. smaller card storage sizes to fix this.

@lofi_lover0930 Bro, why are people like this? She’s a little girl for shits sake. These “censorship” takes are annoying enough as is, but when they fire one off about a clear child, they’ve lost it; into the fire.

@Zizoplays1 I’ve seen this lately too. Don’t get me wrong, there’s always something lost in remakes compared to the original, but I don’t see Delta as a “Nintendo hire this man” UE5 “hyper real” cash grab. I think genuine effort was put in to translate MGS3 to current visual standards.

@tippity I still rock a 27” 2010 iMac for general use and it’s great. No ads, no AI, and it works as it’s supposed to. Firefox has the best web compatibility in my experience. Oh, and the desktop search function actually works, unlike modern Windows.

@MikeUntitled @PeterP_1985 A camera is never going to properly capture these things. If you view the display in a dim or dark room, you’ll see it, no question. Until the LEDs are pixel sized, it will be there.

@MikeUntitled @PeterP_1985 2/2 But like I said, from an overall picture quality standpoint, they have too many downsides compared to OLEDs (or really emissive displays in general). I’m good with whatever ends up beating the strengths of both in the future (Micro-LED etc.).

@MikeUntitled @PeterP_1985 1/2 I haven’t bought an LCD since 2009, so never. I’m not saying they aren’t good displays in their own right, and if pure nits output is your biggest determining factor, then sure, go for the best mini-LED possible in your budget if there isn’t an OLED that matches it.

@IsThisA3DModel No hate to you, love your callouts of AI, but this is like nicotine companies selling a nicotine patch.

@MikeUntitled @PeterP_1985 2/2 No shade to LCD owners, but the loss of contrast in mixed scenes and perceived bright highlights thanks to pixel level light control, not to mention the poor off angle viewing in comparison to OLED, is too steep of a loss.

@MikeUntitled @PeterP_1985 1/2 Can’t agree with you. I will take my 2017 LG B7A OLED (since replaced with a G5) over any mini-LED. Sure, it only does 7-750 peak nits on a 10% window, but mini-LED will always lack contrast in mixed content scenes compared to an OLED, especially in HDR.

@Junksterrr @ShogunHipHopM @dark1x Is this on PS5 that you’re having this issue? The C2 does support 4K 120hz as it’s part of the HDMI 2.1 spec. If it’s PC and you have an NVIDIA card, make sure you’re scrolling to the bottom of the res list to view the PC specific output resolutions to use 4K 120hz.

@ShogunHipHopM @dark1x Yes! I’m on a C2. I’m still figuring out if it’s a tv issue or an issue with my hdmi but it will not run 4k120 at the same time and the game automatically scales the resolution down by a ton to push out 120hz. Turn off 120hz in system setting to get 4k in game

If you are playing Crimson Desert on PS5 disable 120hz in your system settings immediately! It is LOCKING the games resolution to 1080p! Game is CLEAR now

@dark1x @Junksterrr Not that John needs anyone to confirm this, but can confirm as my older LG B7A OLED was HDMI 2.0 only, meaning 120hz was only possible at 1080p. Now that I have a G5, 4K 120hz is possible since it’s HDMI 2.1 capable.

@Junksterrr This isn't quite true. It only occurs if your TV does not properly support 4K120. If it does, then you're get full 4K. This is a problem specific to displays that support 120hz input but only at lower resolutions. It engages 120hz support due to 40 fps mode but across the board.

It looks like DLSS 5 was an AI-gen filter after all. YouTube Creator “Daniel Owen” asked Nvidia some questions regarding DLSS 5 and if it essentially just takes a single 2D frame with motion vectors as input to generate the output frame. The amount of buzz words Jensen Huang said like; Neural Rendering, Content-Control Generative AI and generative control at the geometry level just to end up admitting that DLSS 5 is what everyone suspected; an AI filter on top of your video-games.

@lNTERNETlNVADER This is the kind of crap you’d get banned for before Elon took over. Of all the “protect the kids” BS taking over as a pretense to make way for mass surveillance, no platform actually wants to protect anyone from violent statements or rhetoric like this anymore.

@luciascarlet My favorite analogy is that this looks like N64’s Goldeneye or the original Max Payne, taking an image of a face and superimposing/making it a texture over the model. Sure, it’s not “changing the geometry” but NVIDIA saying “it’s only lighting being changed” is BS.

yes, it doesn’t change the model, technically but all it appears to really do is restrict its effect to a particular silhouette, but obviously a silhouette on its own is not the only thing you read where the highlights and shadows fall is just as important to how you actually perceive 3D geometry as the silhouette is and they VERY CLEARLY do not imply the same features
THE RED DRAGON@TheRedDragon

They’re really trying to gaslight you into not believing your own eyes and telling you this is completely different geometry and a different person that looks worse Imagine being mad at this 😂 DLSS 5
