It's 2026, Messi is 39 years old, and I'm still watching analysts, pundits, and fans spend hours discussing how to stop him. That's one of the greatest compliments any footballer can receive. Most players at this age are either retired or no longer the main focus of tactical discussions. Yet Messi is still the first player opponents prepare for. That level of longevity is simply unbelievable. Whether he scores, provides an assist, or creates space for his teammates, the fact that entire game plans are still built around him at 39 says everything about his greatness. Legends leave memories. Messi is still creating them. Goat🐐

They actually thought they had a hostage. Little did they know they were about to become hostages.😭 What confuses me is that these people know Red, but they still don't KNOW him. There will never be another character in the history of Hollywood that can beat this character.🎬🍿

Official FIFA rankings of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 opponents from the group stage to the quarterfinals: 🇭🇷 Croatia — 11th 🇬🇭 Ghana — 73rd 🇵🇦 Panama — 34th 🇨🇩 DR Congo — 46th 🇲🇽 Mexico — 14th 🇳🇴 Norway — 31st Not a single one of those opponents was ranked inside FIFA’s top 10. Yet somehow, it’s Argentina’s route to the semifinals that everyone is obsessing over. It’s funny how the conversation is never about every team’s path—only Argentina’s.

Back in November, before a ball was drawn, FIFA announced the rule. The world number one and the number two go into opposite halves of the bracket. Number three and number four too. At the time that was Spain, Argentina, France and England, in that order. However the results fell, the top four could not meet before the semis. They borrowed this format from tennis. Sinner and Alcaraz, the two best male tennis players in the world right now, don't meet in the round of 16. They meet in the final or they don't meet at all. And it makes sense for FIFA and the other sporting bodies. The biggest teams don't cancel each other out in the round of 32, they survive to the games the world is actually watching. Bigger games, bigger numbers, bigger money. Now the fun part. The same table that built this bracket is already being rewritten by it. England beat Argentina, England climb. Spain beat France, Spain climb. And nobody loses a point doing it. In World Cup knockouts, the loser's total doesn't drop. The winner simply takes. So, the rankings made these semis. These semis will remake the rankings. Interesting. Why am I writing this? I have seen too many ArgenFIFA agenda and it is starting to get nauseating so I felt I should educate the TL a little about how these things actually work.

My neighbour got married this year. Both of them are 20 years old and are doing life together. I asked the dude why he decided to get married this early. He said they’d been dating since 15 and had lived together for 3 years so they didn’t see a reason not to get married, since they plan to spend the rest of their lives together. One of the things he said that struck me was “the marriage was just for documentation’s sake”. In my mind, I’m like this is the same marriage Nigerian men make seem like an uncanny thing!!! Oh!! Of course, both of them are actively involved in making money and “taking care of the home”.

We blame poverty for everything in this country. No it is not poverty. We are not the only country where there is majority poverty. It is a value system problem. Our values are monetized. Outside this Nigeria, poor people genuinely fall in love, students fall in love and commit - not because of what they expect but because the whole point of love is to create memories and enjoy the company of each other. Both parties look after each other and share the bills where necessary. I've seen 18 year old students, studying together and doing part time jobs and sharing the bills. That is love. If you ask a Nigerian about love, they will tell you to experience love, you need to spend money - his money. We are damaged. Special moments are special because of special people - not because of how much you spent.

@Wizarab10 Let us face reality.. poverty is the root cause of this negotiations Love without money is a temporary sadness mainly for the guy Men are loved conditional while women are unconditional Large % of people see relationship/marriage as a escape from poverty

Goals and assists at the end of last season: Bellingham 8 goals and 5 assists Fermin Lopez 12 goals and 14 assists Y’all didn’t crawl out of your holes to call Fermin the best midfielder in the world, it only works when you can compare Bellingham to somebody who doesn’t even play same position with him.

Norway benched their full squad to play France. Sweden? You need to check how they even made the world cup, they shouldn't even be there in the first place. Struggled to beat Paraguay. Morocco is still the only team they played that looked like it, and on that day, Morocco did not even turn up. Coach also decided to play Mazraoui at CB, and no Saibari. You can only play teams in front of you. Argentina did not tell Switzerland to also beat Colombia. Argentina did not tell Uruguay not to qualify or Portugal not to win their group. In fact, those teams Argentina have played have seemed tougher than what France played. Same Spain could not beat Cape Verde. Egypt drew Belgium that got to the quarters. Stop downplaying any opponent.
Ogini Solomon 🇵🇹@OginiSolomon

I just realized Argentina have scored more goals than France with an attack of Mbappe, Olise, Dembele and Doue. That's an incredible stat to be honest. Then I realized that Argentina has been playing Jordan, Algeria, Austria, Egypt, Switzerland and Cape Verde. While France on the other hand have played teams like Norway, Morocco, Senegal, Sweden and Paraguay. Argentina somehow got the easiest fixture out of every big team. What an incredible coincidence. Let's see how they cope against their toughest opponents yet, England.

The funny thing about this argument is that, Bellingham had a goal drought for a longggg time and Pedri stood up top. We live in a stat era, once you score, you’re the best thing after jollof rice. Guess what people are not paying attention to? What Jude does when he’s not scoring, nobody sees it. I’ll always respect Alex Iwobi for that comment. He said you could drop a stinker, but score, and nobody will remember you had a stinker. Pedri does not need stats to be Pedri. He’s not a goal scorer, he’s a controller, and he does that perfectly.

These same idiots had nothing to say about Bruno Fernandes, Vitinha, and João Neves ghosting throughout this World Cup. Instead, they switched their attention to Bellingham and started trolling Pedri simply because he’s making runs into the box for Tap-ins 😭

So a young lady died at the residence of Nigeria's Minister of Works, David Umahi - the police hasn't even launched a proper investigation. Scenarios like this remind me of Ekweremadu, Nigeria's former Deputy Senate President who wanted to illegally harvest a child's organs. He's rotting away in a UK jail because he didn't commit the crime in Nigeria. "Nigeria is a giant crime scene" is an unbelievable understatement.

- he increased NECO from 30,000 to 50,000 - he removed general electricity subsidy - he increased tertiary institution’s tuition fees - he also increased international passport fees from 50,000 to 100,000 last year Nigerians are being priced out of basic civic entitlements. This is bad leadership!! Get your PVC!!!
