In terms of population replacement among Western nations, Ireland is unique, for a few reasons. 1 - By area, we are a tiny country. 2 - We are experiencing some of the highest levels of immigration in Europe. 3 - Although we are an island, you can literally walk into our country because there's no border up north. Realistically, the government has no idea who is in the country. Those three things combined mean population replacement and the inevitable consequences will be seen and felt in Ireland on a scale most other nations haven't experienced. In a country as small as Ireland, even minimal immigration is noticable. But with over 1.2 million people living here who were born elsewhere, and who knows how many kids born here to migrant parents (1/3 of all births recently), it's impossible to ignore. It's not just Dublin, Cork and Galway, every city, town and village in Ireland has been affected, from rural Donegal all the way down the Killarney. You've heard of Gaeltacht areas, Irish speaking areas? There are approximately 100,000 people living in the Gaeltacht. Well, there are about the same number of Indians living in Ireland. This year, they will surpass the number of people in the Gaeltacht. The same is true for Muslims, approximately 100,000. And Africans, about the same number. All these figures are official numbers, I think we all know it's really a lot higher. By the end of 2026 we are looking at a situation where there are more Africans in Ireland than people in the Gaeltacht, more Indians in Ireland than people in the Gaeltacht and more Muslims in Ireland than people in the Gaeltacht.

Australian Labor Minister Anne Aly announces that the Labor government will spend tens of millions of dollars fighting “Islamophobia.” They will also accelerate efforts to change the school curriculum to portray Islam in a positive light. Interesting precedent. I think I will move to Japan and then publicly complain that Japan is not welcoming enough to me as a Greek Australian. This incident happened in the proximity of a primary school with pupils from Y1 to Y6 with a nursery and play group attached, these schools went into lockdown procedures potentially terrifying a number of children. There was other reports of this migrant causing disturbances in Greggs on Barry Island in the mornings, shouting, talking to himself, and behaving aggressively. Yes, she did believe that. And the truth is that, until about 12 years ago, it was also the general view of most people in society (and still happens to be the view of the established church in this country today). Disagree with it, by all means. But to present it as some kind of extremist opinion is plainly ridiculous.

I woke up to the upsetting and worrying news - In Northern Ireland, they burned a model of a mosque with a sign stating "Secure our borders and end Islam." The police failed to stop it. This is deeply offensive, Islamophobic, and frightening to Muslims living in Northern Ireland. We are constantly under attack in the UK and nothing is being done. Andy Burnham - we need solutions.

At 10:30 in the morning, a woman went out for her usual run in Kent. A man on a bike came up right behind her within arms reach, she told him to move but he stayed close. She then looped the block to shake him off, and he was waiting at the bottom exactly where she'd finish. This is becoming far too frequent. Women should be able to go for a run in broad daylight without fear. @kent_police
