@_OpiAh @n6oflife6 And was it me and you that’s supposed to hold accountable? You saying we don’t have the funds is just like you making excuses for the government, wait till the end of this present regime and find out how much was embezzled.

@alexofficiallyy @n6oflife6 the minister for power is one of the least performing ministers in this government. however, we've generated more power, just unable to transmit which i think should be the main focus. we can't be trying to generate more power when we can't transmit the one we have

@_OpiAh @n6oflife6 The point is that, it looks like we are going backwards since lapite and his minister of darkness came in, we are supposed to be seeing step by step improvement but like this now, electricity has never been this bad in a very long time in this country

i wrote a paper on renewable energy feasibility as nigeria's energy solution. the north is best for solar with over 3k hours of annual sunlight but transmission issues and maintenance culture will kill it. the national grid is outdated and won't be able to adopt this technology properly. high cost of initial infrastructural investments is not encouraging hence governments won't embark. also, environment factor and soiling (extreme heat reduces efficiency). it's best for small-medium scale projects for better outcome (homes/offices/schools). so yeah government need to subsidise panels, batteries etc to ease pressure on the grid and save people more money

On this electricity issue in Nigeria, I will be realistic again. Nigeria will not see steady power in at least 10 years. normally should be at least 15 years It is unfixable under a decade. Even Albert Einstein with the execution of Elon Musk will not do it under 10 years. Its a harsh truth Don't argue this with your emotions and ideal plans, argue with data. if you don't even know where NBET stands in the chain, you cannot make an argument here, pass. So is solar the solution for Nigeria? YES Is solar realistic for mass adoption? NO. Because of cost. The solution to this may be - The govt. removing any charge, tax, levy, etc on anything relating to panels and batteries. - Startups launching solar farms and buyback businesses - Govt. funding battery and storage research that will lead to low cost in that regard - One day national flogging of all Nepa officials with koboko and swearing for them if need be If you understand the energy industry in Nigeria, you will know that Nepa or whatever you know them as now, is not giving you steady supply for a lonnnnnnnngggg time
Moe@Mochievous

Nigeria has a lot of sunlight. You are literally burning cash if you don’t have solar set up at least as a backup system (mine is my primary sys) For my solar set up in my house, I had to grudgingly do it but once I did, my only question to myself was why i didn’t do it earlier.

@ChuksEricE While I say Alex has improved the face of Abia state, I still don't believe he has done much but he could do better. Abia was in darkness, hence why they celebrate the little light they see currently.

“After visiting Aba, Abia State some days ago for a protest, I heard people say that Alex Otti has transformed the city. But when I got there, I saw that only some areas were improved while others were left untouched. I don’t believe in half-done transformation.” — Sowore

Honestly for past 16 years there is no investment in Abia North untill Alex Otti came~~ Orji Uzor Kalu. Otti achieved so much that even his enemies can't boldly lie to the camera that he is not doing great work. Your brother is doing great but you still want him to be removed.

Sterling Towers has a solar capacity of about 955–995 kWp (roughly 1 MW), powered by over 3,250 photovoltaic glass panels, supplying electricity to the offices in the building. Completely off grid Zero diesel. Zero national grid collapse worries. Clean, safe, and efficient solar power. Yet you still open your mouth waaaaaaa to claim solar is only backup.😒
