This is just not what a desktop app should look like.
GNOME is actual tablet slop. There's no UI element with actual content density compared to something like Windows. It's bland, made for tapping, and it looks horrible and out of place on desktops.

@cursedconnector If it wasn’t for the fact that you can’t get premade cables for it I think I would use it instead of Ethercon + a separate power cable.
There’s so few connectors that are a standard size that can carry 50v 16a and cat 5e

@eliteobsolete Iirc there was a shure mic sold via apple that was designed for both Macs and iPhones but it predated usb-c so they had to include a lighting to micro usb cable

@luciascarlet @kdrag0n This works with hard drive enclosures with USB-A ports. You can also use it with a Raspberry Pi model A, since they only have one USB A port wired directly into the USB controller instead of a host hub like the B models, you can reverse the data pins and run it in peripheral mode

@_MichaelBooth_ @falco Glinet makes some of the best routers I’ve ever used, I’ve been using a glinet opal at work for the last 3 years and not once has it failed.
I think software wise Tailscale or some other solution using wireguard or OpenVPN should let it connect as if it were on the same LAN

when you plug an Xbox 360 into many new routers, the connection is blocked until you port forward
was curious if there’s any creative ways around having to do this? Any devices you could intercept between Ethernet>router to make it accept

@UnbendableStraw If you want really good colour reproduction I would recommend getting some SK6812, WS2814 or WS2805 strips, the addition of the white (both warm and cool for WS2805) improves the overall look so much

@UnbendableStraw The LTT ones do seem to be longer but their part where the screwdriver actually attaches is shorter so it might not even help on the ifixit drivers

Those bits will last a dozen screws if you’re lucky, and the neck is too short to reach any deep screws in holes smaller than 4mm. You couldn’t pay me to use them.
