@mariackdb86 @vertirement But a qualifying result like that is acceptable, whatever the reason. It may be a problem with the car or the driver, many made mistakes in Q3 for example but aside from the gap to Max, the result isn’t bad at all, 9th place is good. Let's see how it goes tomorrow.

@mariackdb86 @vertirement I don't doubt that it could be a problem with the car. But when I saw the main tweet you replied to, I thought you might suspect sabotage too. That account has posted a whole 4 tweets on the topic in the last hour, just to give you an idea...

@mariackdb86 @vertirement It’s totally fine that you like Isack, but since you were replying to a tweet from a Yuki fan who enjoys fueling the sabotage narrative, that’s what I meant. It’s just a quali at the end. It could be the car or a driver error. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow.

@_Ricky1633_ @vertirement did not expect myself here but I am not calling it sabotage 😭 I said this because for one mekies said that parts of his car isnt working properly after fp1 and 2 it’s too early to judge I’m a max fan but I also love Isack

Jacky Ickx (former F1 driver) admires Max Verstappen Jacky Ickx: "Every decade there are good drivers, and then there is one who is exceptionally fast. That is the situation with Max. It is very special. He started very young and was always fast. There was a perfect combination of him, the car and the engineers. The timing was just right." "But if someone keeps winning and you already know who the champion will be, that can eventually work against you. People get tired of seeing the same winner all the time. Yet Max, especially last year and the year before, has shown that he can still win even without the best car. That's why he is so beloved and admired: he has proven his class." "You only have to look at how he has beaten his teammates. He has completely destroyed them. And when I say destroyed, I really mean destroyed. At the moment the car is simply not good enough. I can imagine that he enjoys doing other types of races as well, such as at the Nürburgring. I'm happy about that, because it's really cool." "I am an admirer of Max. He always comes up to me when he sees me; he knows who I am. That's nice, because he doesn't have to do that. I don't belong to his world. But I think he is a nice person, and if you get to know him a bit better, your opinion can change. That's how sport works." [racingnews365.nl/ickx-bewondert…]

Using someone's passing as another "gotcha" talking point (while making it about money and investments) because you just can't help your inexplicable hate boner for Max is... low but genuinely what problem does Montoya have with Max's existence?

🚨| Red Bull urged to consider Max Verstappen ban outside F1: — Juan Pablo Montoya has suggested that Red Bull should halt Max Verstappen's participation in racing events outside of Formula 1. This follows a tragic accident at the Nordschleife during the Nurburgring 24 Hours Qualifiers, which resulted in the death of driver Juha Miettinen. Verstappen was also involved in the event as he prepares for his debut in the 24-hour race next month. Montoya expressed his concerns on the MontoyAS podcast: “I have a question about this. I know that what happened is terrible. Do you think Red Bull would reconsider what permission they give Max to race those cars?” “No, because they are afraid of losing him.” — When asked if Red Bull should impose a ban on Verstappen racing outside of F1, Montoya was emphatic: “100 per cent. No, sorry. 200 per cent.” “There could be an accident, he could break his leg or arm.” “The money that Red Bull has invested in him should be enough reason to say, 'Look, we gave you the chance, but with this accident we are reconsidering it and we think that this should not happen'.” “Personally, I would have done it if I had been the boss of Red Bull.” “I would have called Max and said, 'Sir, please, don't get in the car anymore.' It's something I think they really need to reconsider.” — Montoya, reflecting on his own career, shared that he was often invited to participate in other driving opportunities, which were blocked by his team: “For example, it's true that several times during my career I was invited to drive rally cars and do tests.” “I would have loved that, but they never let me drive. You are investing in the driver - a big investment. Then you have to protect him.” #maxverstappen 🇳🇱 #redbullracing 🇦🇹 VIA: [RacingNews365]

the article he wrote about that weekend was so beautiful too 🥹🤍 "obviously it will never bring my father back, but at least i can try to do my best on track, try to honour him the best way I can. i think i'm working harder than ever to try to make the best results as i can, to thank him, in a way, for everything he has taught me, for the making me the driver i am today"

🚨| Audi driver Haase shares details on Verstappen's techniques: 'That was only his second race' — Christopher Haase expressed admiration for Max Verstappen's driving style during their battles on the Nordschleife. Speaking to media, Haase remarked: “This is true! When I looked in the mirrors, I saw that Max could follow very well on certain fast sections.” — Haase highlighted Verstappen's ability to handle fast corners, noting his impressive performance in only his second GT3 race. He elaborated: “For example, in the fast corners like Mutkurve, Flugplatz and Schwedenkreuz, and a few other places. You don't see that often.” — Haase was particularly surprised by Verstappen's skill in managing dirty air, a challenge for many drivers. He commented: “I mean, there are a lot of professional drivers who can do that, but for him, only in his second GT3 race there, and being immediately on this level of managing dirty air, I find really surprising.” — Reflecting on Verstappen's timing and precision, Haase shared his observations: “What I would say from the outside is that his timing is very good. When he needs to be close and when he should lift a bit and leave a little more space. That timing felt really strong.” — Haase also noted Verstappen's strategic use of slipstreaming to maintain proximity during races: “We always made sure we had a good exit and used the slipstream to close back up.” — Despite their on-track rivalry, Haase chose not to approach Verstappen post-race, respecting his busy schedule. He explained: “I’m not someone who runs through the paddock and I also don’t want to bother him, because he already has enough to do. I respect that. On track, everything is super respectful. That’s basically all.” — Haase's insights underscore Verstappen's rapid adaptation to GT3 racing, showcasing his exceptional talent and strategic acumen on the track. The mutual respect between the drivers highlights the sportsmanship prevalent in motorsport. #maxverstappen 🇳🇱 #audif1 🇩🇪 #haasf1 🇺🇸 VIA: [gpblog]
