On 22nd June we had a joint exercise at Kingsbury Viaduct, with Staffordshire FRS and Balfour Beatty. It involved a large crane and rescue of 4 injured workers using specialist equipment. Thanks to Balfour Beatty for the opportunity to carry out realistic training. @WestMidsFire

Outstanding efforts by members of @WMFSTechRescue taking part in this competition, and so much personal commitment has gone into the preparations. Immense work by all involved, and a wealth of knowledge gained, to use whilst responding to our communities back at @WestMidsFire 👏🏼

Good news story. Our @WestMidsFire @WMFSTechRescue team were mobilised to some ducklings that had fallen down a drain. After having a quacking time trying to remove the drain cover, 4 ducklings rescued and returned to their mom.

Everyone here at West Midlands Fire Service remains devastated following the death of our Chief Fire Officer, Wayne Brown. His loss has left an enormous void. Healing will take time, but the messages we have received are helping a great deal. Thank you.

The WMFS ISAR team were shocked and saddened to hear of the death of our CFO Wayne Brown. We extend our thoughts and condolences to Wayne's family. As our CFO Wayne was incredibly supportive of our work and was always proud to recognise our achievements. He will be deeply missed.
