Is 70,000 too short for a YA story? Reading through one of my #WIP and am struggling to find a way to extend it #WritingCommunity

@_RobinHunt Mine is just a word or two over 78,000, it's paranormal time-travel, for adults of any age.

@jroberts1324 That’s definitely good to hear, I still need to edit so it may end up a little longer but probably not by much, how long is your book, if you don’t mind me asking?

@_RobinHunt If you told your story, and told it well at 70,000, then it's the perfect length. I just went through this same question with my book, and I'm sticking with the word count that tells my story.

@GenevievePuttay Thanks, all those well known, chunky YA fantasies were making me feel pretty worried about the length, but this has definitely helped, I swear half of my time on writing is worrying about word count!
