The CDC has officially ended the recommendation for all US newborns to receive hepatitis B vaccine.
Since 1991, US health officials have recommended universal vaccination for infants against hepatitis B, with the first of three shots administered right after birth.
Hepatitis B infections have fallen nearly 90% in the US from 9.6 per 100,000 individuals before vaccination became widespread in 1982 to about one per 100,000 in 2018, per the Guardian.

@PositionPicksFF @danzi05 @unusual_whales I'll take that as a no then. Words don't mean a lot when you have nothing to back them up
English

@_Schlink_5 @danzi05 @unusual_whales Newborn babies don’t need 75 doses of vaccines before their blood brain barrier is fully developed.
There’s ways to mitigate long term damage to children health in a safe and thought out way.
English

@PositionPicksFF @danzi05 @unusual_whales Sure, in an ideal world where we can mitigate any and all risks. Until then, do you have any concrete, peer reviewed evidence that the dosage of the big scary chemicals that you don't understand present in the Hep B vaccine actually cause harm to newborns?
English

@_Schlink_5 @danzi05 @unusual_whales Wouldn't you suggest then a 100% screening of pregnant women for Heb B, rather than forcing 100% of newborn babies to get injected with aluminum salts, salt, phosphates, and various other proteins, fragments, etc.. before their blood brain barrier is fully developed?
English

@NPC35982722 @unusual_whales What's wrong with another systematic layer of safety for babies?
Sᴄʜʟɪɴᴋ@_Schlink_5
@PositionPicksFF @danzi05 @unusual_whales That is assuming a 100% screening of Hep B among pregnant women, which does not occur. The figure is around 86%, meaning that ~500,000 babies are born in the US each year without that certainty, hence the need for the blanket coverage

English

@_Schlink_5 @danzi05 @unusual_whales Hi - blithering idiot here.
You can screen the mother for Hep B, and still give the vaccine to the infant.
But you do not NEED to give ALL the babies the vaccine.
Hope this helps.
English

@NPC35982722 @unusual_whales You're unknowingly advocating for 90% of children who are infected during childbirth to have lifelong health complications

English

@PositionPicksFF @danzi05 @unusual_whales Hep B can be transmitted from the mother to their child during birth, hence the "right after birth" administration of it, you blithering idiot
English

@danzi05 @unusual_whales You think newborns need a vaccine against a sexually transmitted disease? Or are you ok with waiting for their brain and body to be a bit more developed?
English

@JustMyStride @SuperButterBuns Sadly, what you want won't dictate the future.
