One of the best skills of a strong designer is being able to stare into the void to play out multiple different design scenarios in their head without even touching a computer or paper.

As a founder, every 1-2 months Id meet up w 2 other founders who I trusted completely. The 3 of us would get dinner & vent, tell war stories + give each other advice. Complete transparency. It was the best + core to my staying sane. I recommend all founders find their equivalent.

UX before style guide. Fix the journey, then dress it. Design can’t rescue a broken flow. Action: map steps, questions, wait times, handoffs; solve the ugliest one first.

Community = reason to return. Give status, access, or outcomes.

Start with “your first best customers,” not “total end goal” Niche, win, widen.

If your mission can’t fit on a till receipt, it won’t fit in your customer’s head.
