Bleh, I've been fucking around with the designs to know that while the influence is there. Adventure Sonic's head construction is closer to Japanese Classic Sonic. Especially some of the later stuff done in Sonic Jam that was done by the same artists as the Adventure stuff.

@jimsmithstudios passed away one year ago this Saturday. In the last couple of months his work has been a big influence to me. I would've loved to meet this guy.

@Tuxedo_Cark even though i think short/ripped pants looks really good and makes sense with the pirate look i feel like if his legs weren't all torn up they'd be just 1 colour to match with the other characters, though maybe you could make an argument for having 2 colours since Chica has that

@DaBigJ_Twit I've just been looking into all of Ken Macklin's drawings of the character and kinda working with some of my own sensibilities from there. Even though I'm not huge on the games I'm quite fond of his take on the character, its really charming to me
