@CarcassKirk Morality completely aside it’s just lazy and sloppy. I’m a big fan of creature collectors and a huge part of the magic of a good creature collector is the design philosophy behind them. Palworld’s design philosophy is haunted by these direct connections to Pokemon.

@cuntylicious212 I have been a Pokemon fan since I was 3 and at 0 points in my life have I ever wanted Pokemon to be a lazy survival shooter. They made the perfect Pokemon games 25 years ago and again 15 years ago. Giving Pikachu a Deagle isn’t making it better.

This would be impressive if it had doubled its early access launch peak, but it is currently below 50% of its launch peak CCU and with only 16k new user reviews even added since 1.0 launched last week, it means barely anyone playing Palworld right now are even new players and are just below 50% of the Early Access players checking back in

When your game is $30 this isn't impressive especially when you also are doing less than half your early access peak and also flopped in Japan
The game will fall off to 30k-50k ccu in a month just like it did during Early Access but this time there won't be a round 2 to pick the users back up

I cannot believe there is a type of person who thinks Pokemon would be improved if you had to collect 10 Iron Ingots and 5 Tepig Hides so you can craft Leather Armor if you hold the X button for two minute, all for a +2 Defense boost

The worst thing about Palworld ripping off Pokemon is that Plaworld had the opportunity to introduce new types with new weaknesses, Sound, Light, etc. and instead they literally did nothing original outside dark vs normal.
Even normal isn't effective against anything smh.
