@caro_irl finally someone who gets it, companions are one of the best limited mechanics weve seen and no one talks about it, theres a reason all 10 were reprinted in MOM

companion is a genuinely perfect limited mechanic, despite wreaking havoc on constructed formats. to this day one of my favorite draft formats ever is Ikoria, but only if you play companions RAW. so goofy and fun

@caro_irl hard, HARD agree. Companions (and learn/lessons) were extremely cool and unique design space for limited, and it's a horrendous tragedy that the backlash from constructed formats will scare designers away from it in future. Limited is real magic, all else is perfunctory.

@SaffronOlive Not very. The reason Basking Broodscale + Sadistic Glee was strong was that Broodscale was a very respectable body besides. It was a grindy Jund deck AND a combo deck, and could side in either direction. Seeker & Bow are both bad cards that do nothing outside of the combo.

Pauper people: how scared are you of the new Hawkeye's Bow + Seeker of Skybreak combo? It seems like the new fastest two-card combo in the format. Is it going to break things? Will removal keep it in check? Curious what people who play the format regularly think.
