Solid Edge is the Siemens Solidworks competitor, not NX... and it is wonderful. Native Parasolid, impeccable modeling workflow that runs rings around SW in surfacing and curves. Synchronous modeling just like NX. And you can get it free for non commercial use, you don't even have to be a student or jump though any bs hoops like that. resources.sw.siemens.com/en-US/download… Seriously the best deal in CAD, it's actually a better license then what I pay ~7K a year for at work and comes with Keyshot. If you want to start working in CAD or move from a lower tier system like Fusion or Onshape this is the place to start. It's super capable on its own and sets you up with skills that directly translate to NX.

This is 5x the global average wage, by the way. I'm a welder and have no problem with this. If you want 5x the global average wage, you need to do 5x the work. If you want 10x the average, do 10x the work. Personally, the only way I see to get there is through automation. I want 1000’s of welding robots under my control and I will charge accordingly

I did not know there were places in the world that were already using De-salination to supply drinking water for their populations. I always hear arguments against it as, too energy costly. Well, apparently that's not an issue in parts of the world that need it more than we do.

I haven't shaved my beard/mustache for over a decade. My kids would be in shock if I shaved it all off. Perhaps I want to attract a more positive motherly figure in their lives, since their mother is absentee mom, what is a better choice?

@blind_via i agree w/ you, but the reason i say close shave easiest to maintain is because doesnt take much /attention/, it's shaved or not. a short beard can go scruffy fast if i'm not paying attention (i dont pay attention)

@__Star__Lord___ I stopped shaving years ago because to do so was a high maintenance cost. Keeping it trimmed short is a lowest effort maintenance IMO
