I think it's broadly true what people are saying that Robert Eggers would have nailed The Odyssey based on his visually stunning work on The Northman, a film that seems steeped in period detail.
However, I did think The Northman too suffered from the curse of this century's films and didn't quite hang together as a coherent plot, reasonably paced, and with consistently handled drama and characterisation. The Witch worked better but seemed an artisanal piece meant to show what he could do (which is a lot) and The Lighthouse had the same visual interest as The Northman but didn't suffer from the inconsistencies of the latter because it was not about plot; it was a protracted character piece and also about image and ambiguity, which I really like in a film and find rare now.

I don't hire people from mid universities.
I either hire people from top unis or people who dropped out of school, but used to be top 500 in Call of Duty.
You can fix smart people's addictions or undiagnosed ADHD, but you can't fix mid.
If you're Shanghainese and went to a university in Australia, it's the worst signal you can have.
It means your parents are likely millionaires, spent a lot of money on you, likely tried to bribe someone, and yet, you still couldn't even get into the University of Toronto.
Being mid is okay for mid companies.
