Every square inch of Ho Chi Minh airport is blanketed in the same advertisement with a phone number that says "call this number to advertise here"—literally hundreds of ads. The phone number goes to some poor guy in a noisy kitchen who has no idea what this is about. And now I know why why they haven't sold any of the ad space at the Ho Chi Minh airport.

Trynna get an inside view on what this feels like for people who experienced it as a kid and what might help her with eating more, because it's a nutrition problem at this point and I wanna understand from her point of view. Anyone?

At school, she says she 'doesn't get time' to eat. Obviously, she gets lunch times and other kids eat. I feel like she's distracted/overwhelmed during breaks so doesn't get to eating. What helps with that?

Yo #ADHD Twitter i could use some help. Got a bonus kid with adhd. She's 6. She only eats like 4 foods, often skips lunch at school, it's a battle to get her to eat at dinner, even her 'safe' foods. I know this could like be the adhd but I don't know what it feels like for her

I would love a place where I can keep up with some reasonably intelligent conversation about important current affairs without the constant overwhelming aggravated onslaught of *waves hand* I guess that's a pipedream though

Jesus fuck I've just got back into Twitter after roughly 2 years and: - the app really sucks a *lot* now huh - I don't get any of the current extremely twitter specific jokes. Sad! - wading in the quagmire of every debate about every terrible thing in the world is bad, actually

@xCollardGreensx @ProTruth4Life @CameronmusoRuth If my mother felt that way and felt totally unencumbered to act on it, I'd be happy enough that I wasn't here to make the argument, and I wouldn't need to. Stop telling women they should die for a pregnancy.

@xCollardGreensx @ProTruth4Life @CameronmusoRuth She was a whole person with a life and hopes and dreams. She was a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an esteemed colleague. She was *beloved*. Of *fucking course* that is worth more than an embryo, a thing that hasn't even been born!

@GailSimone In Discworld, they find a secondary and more socially acceptable addiction. In the novels, secondary addictions have included coffee, photography, and politics.

@Tejanarusa @weskrantz Oh no no. There's no cafe. It's a barbecue under a tent at the entrance. The only option is a sausage on bread, with or without onions. Community groups take turns running the sausage sizzle to raise money for whatever they do, so it's not actually a Bunnings product.

@__else__ @weskrantz Do the big box stores sell them at their own cafes? One of ours, Costco, is famous for some similar foods they sell right inside the store.

For Finn followers interested in Australian culture here is a POV from the Bunnings carpark where there is a sausage sizzle occurring as I assume is required by law

@Krishan_A_Patel @CartoonsHateHer That's what got me. Never complained? U sure? Just thought it was a great life, hand washing clothes, scrubbing floors, laundering diapers for 4, plucking chooks for dinner? Never thought 'Fuck this'? I doubt her great-granddaughter would be privy to every time she thought that.

@CartoonsHateHer They never complained because they were not allowed to complain to most people for decades!

I’ve said this before but the reason our grandmas made it work is there was no expectation to be present or engaged with your children and it was perfectly normal to just let them cry and fend for themselves outside of keeping them alive

@mcnees I saw this shared (on r/wholesomememes, if you're interested) for the zillionth time recently and it got me wondering. How is kiddo's voracious, rebellious reading appetite going?

Somehow I’ve lucked out and have an 8yo who thinks secretly reading under the covers past her bedtime is an act of rebellion, and it hasn’t yet occurred to her that her flashlights never seem to run out of batteries.
