Yep as I predicted. India's growth rate was comically faked. It didn't reflect actual inflation, currency's decline against USD and other currencies is the proof of that. If you lie about inflation your growth becomes magical. But guess what, you can't lie into prosperity, can you?

Comparing Nominal GDP. 2004-2014 figures are heavily inflated by double digit inflation, the inflation used to be 9-10% 2014-2024 period saw lower inflation and a stronger USD. When it comes to domestic, India is still the 3rd largest.

Two reasons. 1. Rupee Deprecation. 2. Base year for Nominal GDP has shifted from 2011 to 2022. - Real GDP is still the same. Just need atleast 8-9% Real GDP growth instead of 7%.
