From both policy and real practice, this includes: Manchester City Council Islington Council Norfolk County Council Gloucestershire County Council And others like: Bedford Borough Council East Sussex County Council Herefordshire Council Somerset Council Local authorities are not doing anyone a favour. They are making a workforce decision. If they sponsor you, it’s because: – they trust your practice – they see consistency – they believe you’ll stay long-term (3–5 years) That’s a win for them, not just you. Because staff retention is a real issue in this field. So please stop asking ‘which council gives COS?’ The better question is: Are you someone a council would invest in for the next 5 years? And just to be clear I cannot help anyone apply for COS. I’m not an immigration officer. But I will always share honest insight like this so people understand how it actually works. I can also help prepare you for an interview so you can make a good impression.
