@British_Airways In the case of you not repatriating a passenger with their delayed luggage in time for their return flight. Will you cover the cost of a small cabin case to put their essential items in for their return flight? & what about emergency toiletries exceeding 100ml?

Why is the press not reporting the chaos at T5 with @British_Airways flying passengers whilst leaving their luggage in a huge pile in the terminal? Have any passengers been repatriated with their belongings, yet? @BBCBreaking @itvnews @GBNEWS @itvnews @CNN @BBCNews

@British_Airways You haven't answered me about 100ml rule. My mum purchased some olive oil in Seville yesterday expecting her checked luggage to arrive. Last day of holiday tomorrow and it still hasn't. She won't have a bag to check-in and will have to carry it on. You must not throw it out!!

@WhereRoss @RivieraTravelUK It must be classed as essential. It is essential! Especially for a return flight when she's not been repatriated with her original luggage. She took a cab to a mall this evening and bought a case and finally found a swimsuit so she can at least go in the pool for her last day.

@_aggiemay @RivieraTravelUK Sorry to hear that, Aggie. We've bought a suitcase, we are staying in about 9 hotels, driving over 1500 miles between them. Need something to put everything in. Your mum should do the same, and buy a bag, it has to be classed as essential?

@WhereRoss @RivieraTravelUK Thank you for your advice. I've told her to do the same. She's been using carrier bags but it's getting heavy and she's worrying about the flight home. She only has one day left of her holiday and no sign of her bag yet. Not banking on it coming at all now 😞

@tonyj72 Same here. @British_Airways is doing nothing. What do we do with all the stuff we've bought? Buy a case? I replaced my toiletries and cosmetics with full sized ones and now one be able to take them on board due to the 100ml liquid laws!!

@JJ_brum @British_Airways My mum's in the same boat. On her first solo trip since my dad died 18 months ago. She's a pensioner and panicking about money so hasn't bought much at all. She finds shopping exhausting. I hope your parents are ok. BA is done for. Will never fly with them again.

Looking on here it seems @British_Airways have made no effort to apologise or help anyone. Elderly parents, one disabled, flew on holiday on Friday, their cases still somewhere in Heathrow airport, no communication at all. It’s a special trip and they have no clothes or anything!

Unlike most I did actually manage to speak to someone at @British_Airways but it was a complete waste of time. Elderly parents abroad without ANY luggage and can’t phone BA so gave me details including reference number. Call handler refused to speak as I’m not the passenger.

@British_Airways Over 100 hours now. My elderly mother has spent most of her holiday trying to buy things to wear spending money she does not have. She can't afford to use her holiday money on clothing. She's making sacrifices - fewer nice meals, no souvenirs, excursion cut-backs. It's not fair.
