Even more striking: West Bengal has attracted only about $11–12B of FDI in the past two decades combined. Maharashtra attracts more than that in a single year. After nearly 15 years in power, many people expected Bengal to re-emerge as a major investment destination. It now needs the policy environment to match.

Well, today I am travelling from Hyderabad to my hometown and I took yall's advice and instead of eating IRCTC food I ordered food on Zomato The food arrived on my seat but something peculiar happened, the guy who delivered it insisted for tip, in fact he became adamant about it even after I told him that I have secured my wallet deep inside my bag. The good thing was he left me alone with just a 20 but damn if tipping culture ever comes to India, it's gonna sting.

@deepakchy551 @piyushbodaa Here the question is not good much one earning rather how much they are spending and what kind of service they are taking. Tipping applies mostly for hospitality industry. Nobody asking to tip your flight Pilot.

@_aghori @piyushbodaa Tipping culture should not be common in India because many people earn low salaries. If someone starts tipping 5%, it may create an expectation for everyone to tip. Since many people earn around ₹10,000 per month, paying extra tips can be difficult.

@_aghori @piyushbodaa Nah man. US tipping culture started the same way. "It will help waiters because they aren't paid enough". Sympathy has turned into demands now. Just see how it has gone downhill there. If that attitude is introduced in India, it will be 10x worse.
