Taste or no taste, app is good when you care about the users & makes logical, functional decisions not ones based on some vague notion of taste

我最喜欢的两位设计师，为「如何做一个优雅的滚动条」吵了起来。 Rasmus 倾向于不做这层定制——它可能破坏用户在系统层面的既有行为。 要理解这场争论，可以去翻 Height 那篇关于滚动条演变史的文章，从诞生到今天，写得相当细。现在只能在 Web Archive 上找到了——那个在意细节的 Height，没能赢下与 Linear 的竞争。 很多人可能没注意到：macOS 是可以设置滚动条显示行为的。原生 app 使用默认滚动条组件时，会自动跟随系统状态。 这种系统层面的「环境」其实有很多： - 系统颜色：light / dark，以及新版 macOS / iOS 的 Tinted - Liquid Glass 的样式，可能需要跟随系统的透明 / 不透明设置 - 字体大小，可能需要跟随系统的文本尺寸 …… 削减这些「环境」、让某种行为成为唯一选项，本质上是在替用户做选择。有人更激进，有人更保守。 但重要的是，设计师清楚这里面的取舍意味着什么，并把它纳入设计的考量。 只是话说回来 —— 今天还有多少人真的在意这些。从 Apple 到 OpenAI，从 AI 到 SaaS，那些以设计见长的团队和个人，都在被 AI 的节奏推着往前走，越来越快。那些珍贵的、近乎「非遗」的知识，正在被默默跳过。
