@Ferndiggity @judsontaylor Everyone knows that you can’t play, “Christ the Lord is Risen Today”, without going straight into, “That’s Amore”…okay? Honestly, it’s kind of condescending that she even said that to us!

@MichelleDLesley @DaddyOhLead Starting to “wind down” at 56? I’ll be 53 this year & I feel like I’m just starting to wind up! As Tyler Staton said, “The first 60 years are just the preparation”! I think @BethMooreLPM is just getting started on her most impactful years yet. Can’t wait to watch!

@DaddyOhLead I mean, hopefully it's a long chapter for me, but things *are* in the beginning stages of winding down. (And I am totally great with that.) It's time to START finishing well NOW.😀

With a very tender heart and more gratitude to God than I could possibly express, I'm announcing my response to this: Praise God. I don't say that spitefully or vengefully, I say it with humility and thankfulness that the Lord has seen fit to protect evangelical women from at least one outlet of @BethMooreLPM's false teaching. May all of her teaching, speaking, and writing soon follow. As Beth said, this is a good thing. A very good thing. michellelesley.com/2014/08/14/upd…

🚨#BREAKING: Authorities have confirmed that the 19 year-old Charlotte NC man who beat his uncle to death with a SIDEWALK PAVER and then strangled him... ...IS AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT!!!!! He is also labelled as a "WHITE MALE" in the charging documentation... Absolutely unreal.

Today, my family went on a family trip to Flagstaff. We walked into a quaint sandwich shop, and a young woman approached to take our order. She was wearing a sports bra and crack-sucking leggings. It was the kind of outfit our grandmothers would see as lingerie. Had I not been with my family, I would have said something like, “Ma'am, do you not know how inappropriate your outfit is? Are you not ashamed to be wearing that in public?” So, when I got home, I wrote the owner. This won’t change until we make it change. Make sin shameful again. Remember, shame pushes people to see their need for forgiveness—in Christ.

@godlywomanhood It’s been translated into 50 different languages, with plans for a total of 600 languages. When all is said & done, I can do confidently say it will be one of the greatest tools for the Gospel in our lifetime. I could sit and tell you stories for DAYS on end…

Charlie Kirk seems to have FAR greater impact for the Gospel than “The Chosen.” The Gospel being preached will always be more effective than any TV show or movie. “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Rom 10:14)

@godlywomanhood As someone who works on The Chosen, that’s an extremely ignorant statement. You have NO idea the scope and breadth of how the show has been used to share the Gospel. It’s being shown in places like 3rd world prisons, places where a Charlie Kirk could not go.

@J4TruthNJustice @seanfeucht @NFL The halftime show isn’t designed and produced for the people in attendance…it’s for the people watching on TV. 123 million people watch the Super Bowl on TV. Stadium only has 77k people.

@rev_felix @Pastor_Gabe Who have you “heard” this from? I’ve spent a lot of time on the set in Utah and I can promise you that it is not “littered” with pride flags. I’ve worked on 3 seasons and have seen 1 small rainbow patch, and that’s it.

@Pastor_Gabe I've heard the set is littered with pride flags and I just don't think people who worship demons are likely to produce a worthwhile show about Christ.

@joshuadpease We do the same at my church…it’s called “The Christmas Shoppe”! This will be our 4th year for it. We do a nice Christmas dinner for the families, they get a family portrait taken, & then the parents go and shop while the kids go to a fun program!

Each year the church I pastor hosts "The Christmas Store," a place for financially-struggling families to shop for gifts worth $25 or more for only $5 each. This gives parents/guardians the dignity of picking out/purchasing gifts at a highly discounted price. 🧵

82 years ago today, on February 19th, 1942, President Franklin Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066 which resulted in over 122,000 people of Japanese descent being forcibly removed from their homes and put into incarceration camps. 70,000 of them were American citizens. These folks were taken from their homes, stripped of their property, businesses, and savings, and forced to live in horrible conditions. Many of the camps were actually converted horse racing tracks where the “living quarters” were livestock stalls. This went on for almost 3 years, but then Mitsuye Endo and James Purcell came along. Mitsuye Endo was a Japanese American citizen, born in Sacramento in 1920. She grew up in the Methodist church and got a clerical job after high school. Endo was 22 years old when she and her family were forced into an incarceration camp. James Purcell was a white guy, born in San Fransisco in 1906. When Executive Order 9066 came down, he went to work for the Japanese American Citizens League as a lawyer and advocate. Purcell and the JACL needed a primary plaintiff to challenge the order. They chose Endo. They sent word to her in the incarceration camp to see if she was willing to be the primary plaintiff in the case. Endo was hesitant, but she decided to say yes. Years later, she told an author, “I agreed to do it at that moment, because they said it’s for the good of everybody, and so I said, ‘well if that’s it, I’ll go ahead and do it.’” Purcell and Endo filed their petition on July 12th, 1942, beginning a chain of events that eventually led to the US Supreme Court ruling in her favor in December of 1944. Soon after, the incarceration camps were shut down and the prisoners were released. Endo stayed incarcerated in camps while courts debated her case. At one point, the government offered to let her return home in exchange for dropping the lawsuit. She said no. When I talked about the horrors of Executive Order 9066 recent sermon on how we can partner with God to do justice work, a friend came up to me after and said, “Thank you for talking about this. My dad was born in one of those Japanese incarceration camps.” She is in her late 30s. This stuff is not distant and archaic. This is the history we must teach our children or we will be doomed to repeat it. I know there is an overwhelming amount of injustice in our world—so many things standing against love and perpetuating systems of disordered power for the purpose of domination—but don’t let that stop you. As Christians, we are called to stand against those trying to dominate others. Like Mitsuye Endo and James Purcell, we must do whatever we can to fight for justice. You can’t do everything for everyone, but you can do something for someone.

@godlywomanhood 2. I've served the orphan & children in foster care for the last 18 years, started a non-profit, and help churches live out James 1:27. This is what God has called me to do. Yet, you would say I'm not doing what God created me for? Help me understand that!

Women becoming doctors requires a ton of schooling and debt which keeps many from marrying and if they do, it keeps them from having children, but if they do, they can’t be home to raise them. Most young women have no idea if they will marry or not but pursuing a medical degree by a young, godly woman is not wise and will most likely eventually steal the best things in life from them if they do.

@godlywomanhood @CraigFisch10151 I'll be 50 in Dec. I've always wanted to be married and have children, but so far God has not brought that to be. So, my question is, 1. How do you think I would have supported myself all these years without a job?
