hey everyone! i'm samuel - 2nd year cs @uwaterloo - prev eng @memories_ai, ai research @uwaterloo - 99th percentile in multiple national math/coding contests - prev national level fencer; 275lbs max bench - 1.2k+ stars on github projects - turned down swe offers @Gemini @openart_ai and @ yc startups this summer to build smth of my own - got flown out for yc s26 interview yesterday; rejected - staying in sf for a few more days; looking to raise from other investors hmu if interested!

@raise2fitness @0xDaniiel @HowardU @BrownUniversity @MIT @JaneStreetGroup in the U.S., for ur undergrad you can do 2 courses at once sort of. it’s called double majoring. you can also take some classes in a course if you want. that’s a minor. so i am doing a cs major & a maths minor.

4 hours of this was spent understanding recursion to build a graph for finding the optimized route through mit buildings 🥲. recursion is lowkey tuff 😭

did a bit of reading today to understand more on this. now have a basic understanding of the theoretical parts (compilers, transpilers, interpreters, scanning, parsing, etc) will begin the coding parts soon. tutorial is in java but i’ll understand the logic and convert it to python.

hey everyone! i’m david - 1st year cs + math @uwaterloo, 18 - currently engineering intern @mercor_ai - incoming research @axiommathai - 3x olympiad (usamo, usaco, bpho) - 2x national champion in math contests - flown out to sf, nyc, and boston during first year (once on a private jet) - research under princeton phys. dept. head at 16 - just downloaded beli but idk how to use it my life goal is to surround myself with amazing friends and experience everything life has to offer. will be at startup school in july and palo alto in the fall. love meeting new people, hmu if you want to connect!
